War Profiteering or Price "Stability"?

Posted by Thomas DiLorenzo at March 12, 2008 06:33 PM

An energy idustry expert who was a guest on today's Ron Smith show on WBAL Radio in Baltimore mentioned that the U.S. military is spending about $1 billion per day just for gasoline in Iraq. Combine that with the fact that oil is over $100/barrel now, and we finally learn what Dick Cheney meant when he told Tim Russert on July 30, 2000 that we need more "price stabilty" in energy markets enforced by a "national energy policy," a.k.a., energy socialism.
