I threw together my earlier post on the subject in a hurry. Nicholas Del Medico wrote to correct my shorthand about what's going on with Romney's delegates:
"He can't 'give' McCain his delegates. He can only ask that his delegates support McCain. Some of those delegates are Ron Paul supporters who were committed to Romney by state party rules and a bunch more are Conservatives who will laugh at (or be insulted by) the request."
