Today’s Insider Advantage poll gave Ron Paul 9% in Tennessee.

Tennessee is an open primary. Insider Advantage first asked respondents in which party primary they planned on voting.

Ron Paul gets 27.7% of Democrats, 18.2% of Independents, and only 6.2% of Republicans.

Poll after poll have shown that, when voters from all parties participate, Republicans are the least likely to vote for Ron Paul. Polls also consistently show that, among Republicans, Paul gets the most support from “nominal” Republicans and the least support from “strong” Republicans.

This bodes well for Ron Paul’s chances if he chose to make a third party run in November.
