The Anti-Fed

As I said before, I was very glad early in the campaign that Ron Paul decided to make central banking an issue. (Some people on this very blog whom I respect immensely had doubts.) And what a crucial issue it is, right now. If the recession develops full-blown and America is hit by depression, there will be more of a chance for us to be heard with the Misesian explanation, thanks to Ron Paul, who has planted a small seed of monetary awareness in the MSM. We can point to his wise words, assuming the worst happens, and have a credible explanation in contrast to the typical response we can expect from all politicians should a crash come: blame heaped at the free market.

Funny that no matter how many Progressive Eras, New Deals, Great Societies — no matter how many massive interventions into the economy to “fix” the problems of the “unhampered free market” – they still blame all economic woes on not enough government. But this transparent ploy won’t work forever, thanks in large part to Ron Paul pointing out often that the Chairman Has No Clothes.
