The pro-war, anti-Ron Paul New York Times has just hired the pro-war, anti-Ron Paul Bill Kristol. Is every single warmongerocon a columnist, and not just those that Andrew Sullivan mentions? Apparently so, but jobs in the declining medium of deadtree dailies are no longer the commanding heights they were. It was a hilarious old-media mistake the Times made a few years ago, to charge massively for the editorial section. After two years, when the Times backed down and made it free again, virtually no one was reading its columnists. Who does now?
UPDATE Max Raskin writes: "A realignment is taking place. It's started off slowly at first, and I don't think many people are noticing it...but the libertarian spectrum is finally being understood. Kristol, the NYT, Krugman, etc. etc. are all ideologically the same. They want to band together against the nascent libertarian revolution. Oh where art thou, Murray!"
