“Even though the story is accessible directly using the original URL, they removed it from the front page. If you click on “Recent Articles by Virginia Heffernan”, it has also been removed from that list. I wrote a letter to the Times yesterday instead of commenting (as I’m sure thousands of others did) and I have a feeling the volume of feedback may have triggered them to check out the information appearing in the hit piece. The question is, will the Times try to hide this embarrassing blog post and pretend it never existed (as they seem to be doing now) or, is it possible we may see a correction or update to the post in the coming days? Coincidentally, it was removed from the front page not too long after the comments were posted.”
