Oprah for America Africa

Jim, this is the kind of statement that makes Oprah a heedless grandstander who thinks she fools all the people all the time. Kids in America want toys and iPods and money because they already have the basics, and that's because our standard of living (despite the erosion thereof by the Federal Reserve and perpetual government intervention) are such that their basic needs have been met and exceeded, in most cases. Oprah can't stand the hard-working, middle-America parents who put their kids in OshKosh and provide them with laptops and iPods, but she sure sees no problems whatsoever in asking Santa for a $50 million estate in California's Montecito. She has more "toys" than any "greedy" American kid will ever know exists, so what is her problem? Her life of billionaire luxury is perfectly within acceptable boundaries, but a middle-class kid with a few electronic toys is an outrage.

Oprah is a disgusting phony and her daytime, suck-up demeanor is a fraud. What's so pathetic is that so many people - mostly women - have so little going on in their lives that they turn to this billionaire sham for some bizarre sense of emotional nourishment she supplies them. All the while, she actually pities and loathes the middle-class women who adore and worship her, while she pretends to "care." America is not Africa, so get over it Oprah.
