The Butcher of Tblisi's bloody crackdown on peaceful protesters in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia was funded by the United States. President Mikheil "Butcher" Saakashvili (a big favorite of both Bush and D.C. "libertarian" Beltway think-tanks) jails the credible opposition political parties and then calls for snap elections; shuts down all but state media. But this time the brave Georgians who take to the streets to protest this dictatorship get no sympathetic coverage in US media. They get no words of encouragement from the Bush Administration. They only get beat up and shot with weapons provided by the US at the hands of thugs trained by the US.
