Chris Matthews is announcing his presidential campaign power rankings at 7pm EST. In the interest of friendly competition with the old media, here's mine.
These are not predictions but a snapshot of where the race stands right now based on a variety of factors including polls, fundraising and momentum.
Republicans:
1. Giuliani
2. Thompson
3. McCain
4. Paul
5. Romney
6. Huckabee
Democrats:
1. Clinton
2. Obama
3. Edwards
4. Richardson
5. Biden
I believe Giuliani will implode, leaving Paul, McCain and Thompson to fight it out. If Romney spoke like Huckabee or Huckabee had Romney's bucks......
Hillary remains a lock but if she falters, Richardson, believe it or not, is the one to watch.
