That was basically the defensive explanation from a volunteer drone of the Hillary campaign who helped rough up some student Ron Paulians at a painfully enervating Hillary rally in Denver. Wow, they really believe in their candidate.
This rally, by the way, was in an open part of the campus that was public space maintained by student fees and taxpayer dollars. This was clearly not private space, so anybody would be perfectly within his rights to wave any sign peacefully during the rally. But not this time:
