The Egometer

Posted by Eric A. Garris at October 23, 2007 02:36 PM

The Table is based on quantitative data and, so far, the author has made no attempt to evaluate the "qualitative" degree of egotism in each instance of using an ego word; only the incidence and potential likelihood of it. But the huge margin of McCain’s "victory" does suggest extraordinary self-preoccupation.

  1. Ego words used: I; I'll; I'm; I'd; I've; me; my; mine.
  2. 10 words removed from total for candidate not hearing the question.
