Myanmar Military

All the world is up in arms over the military in Myanmar violently cracking down on protesters. But who is committing the actual acts of violence against the civilians in their own country? It is not the military generals that run the country–there are not enough of them. It is the regular army types.

But why should any military-loving, state-worshipping, warmongering American be upset with the actions of the Myanmar military? Isn’t is honorable to serve in the military? Shouldn’t the troops always follow orders? Doesn’t the state always know best who should be bombed or killed? Shouldn’t all soldiers always obey the powers that be?

Oh, I’m sorry, I guess it is just the American military that is honorable and the American government that should always be obeyed. Soldiers in other countries should refuse to carry out the unjust orders of their superiors.
