Happy Labor Union Day

This 19th century government holiday is one of the worst. When I was a kid, I used to wonder why there wasn’t a Business or Capitalism or Entrepreneurs Day, but if there were, it wouldn’t involve enforced idleness. And indeed, every day is really that, given the source of our prosperity and civilization. As to the government-privileged criminal gangs called labor unions–which prosper through violence and the threat of violence against competitive workers (”scabs”) and benefactors (employers)–thank goodness they are gradually disappearing.
