In the land of Magna Carta, social workers are taking babies from their parents, often under the pretext that the parents may emotionally abuse their children at some indefinite point in the future. Call it “preemptive kidnapping.” All of this takes place in secret courts, and everyone involved is forbidden to speak about the case once it has been decided. Last year 2,000 babies under a year old were legally kidnapped by the government.
The case highlighted in the article linked above is of a woman with “five A-levels and a degree in neuroscience” whose baby may be taken from her the moment she is born on the basis that the mother may or may not have a psychological condition which may or may not result in “emotional abuse” of her child after the child is born. The decision “was based in part on a letter from a paediatrician she has never met.”Also of note is the bullet point at the bottom of the article:
A recording of social workers threatening to take a newborn into care has been removed from the YouTube website after Calderdale Council in West Yorkshire started legal action, claiming the Data Protection Act was breached.
Vanessa Brookes, 34, taped social workers telling her and her husband that they would seek to place the baby, due next month, in care, while admitting there was “no immediate risk to the child.”
We can’t have people finding out what evil their government is up to, now can we?
