Writes Eric Parks: "My wife, three kids, and I made the 2 1/2 hour jaunt North up to Greenville to hear Ron Paul speak at the rally. There were, by my estimates, more than 700 people in attendance. In fact, they had to pull back a partitioned wall to access more seating area to accommodate everyone.
"The whole experience surprised me quite a bit. The last time I saw Dr. Paul live was over a year ago when I headed 2 ˝ hours SOUTH to Charleston where he was speaking at the invitation of some of the Citadel cadets who had formed a libertarian group. Then only 40 or so people were in attendance and Congressman Paul spoke in a very personable way.
"This time, his speech was more…presidential. It was moving and compelling. His ability to tie everything together was remarkable and the crowd appreciated it. Unlike the young set I expected, the crowd was made up mostly of middle-aged middle-classers with kids in tow. The idea that so many hard-working families would give up one of their cherished Saturdays in July to hear Ron Paul speak was all the proof I needed to believe that better days are coming.
"Ron Paul is an individual’s individual. We love him!"
