I got an interview

I got a chance to interview Dr. Paul after his speech, and it will be posted within a day or so. We want to clean it up a little bit. We almost didn't get to do the interview, as the hand-shaking/picture-taking ran a little long, so we had to cut our questions down. I wouldn't have even gotten to interview him if I wasn't from LewRockwell.com, which is what the Media director told me.

Here is a run-down of the questions I asked, with short snapshots of his answers:

Q: How has the study of Austrian economics shaped your views on liberty?
A: Profoundly. Free-market economic theory is the key to liberty...

Q: Will you veto any budget that has unconstitutional spending measures?
A: Yes...

Q: How you you end the fiat monetary system?
A: By legalizing competition from private mints...

Q: What Executive Orders will you rescind on your first day in office
A: Many of them...

Q: As the strongest defender of the Constitution in public office, will you sign my Constitution?
A: Sure...

Hopefully, the quality turns out good, as we were having some technical difficulties throughout the day (the live-blogging was kind of spontaneous and had 2 days planning) and I was a bit nervous something was going to go wrong.

As far as the event goes, there were 1000+ on hand for RP, for sure. The room seated 1,000, and 98% of the seats were filled with dozens standing. There were many that came to protest out front and others who marched down to the Arts Center and Back. The Forum itself had 50% no-shows.
