Rosie, who's right on much and wrong on much, is being attacked for allegedly calling US troops in Iraq "terrorists," though she did not. She asked how the Iraqis might view them, given US aggression.
This is unsayable: you may never attempt to see things from the standpoint of the demonized foreigner. It's a neocon hate crime: moral equivalence.
But consider this: if Iran had done everything in Iraq the US has done, fearing a second attack by Saddam, and causing 650,000 dead and setting up a democratic Shiite government, how would we see the Iranians? As liberators?
