I caught about ten minutes of the Rush Limbaugh show today, enough to hear him say, "You liberals have this strange idea that war is bad."
Then he recounted a conversation he supposedly had with a friend who advocates dropping nuclear bombs on all Muslim countries "to make America safe once and for all." "We couldn't do that," Rush said he said to the friend. "What about all those civilians?" He then assured his audience that "I was playing devil's advocate there."
He then instructed us all that "we wouldn't have won World War II" if FDR and Churchill had been concerned about civilian deaths.
And this from a man who never got any close to "war" than the burger wars between Wendy's and McDonald's.
