Mission Impossible 3

With Tom Cruise under attack by Drudge et al. for his religion, I had to go see this movie. (That and the fact that I had seen and liked the two previous installments, and the old TV show.) J.J. Abrams--hired by producer-star Cruise--does a good job as director, and it is a fast-paced and thrilling thriller full of eye-popping stunts. As usual in these movies, government agents are the heroes. Here, however, they are also the villains, who want to start a war in the Middle East to spread democracy. And all hail the nighttime scenes of that great capitalist city, Shanghai.
