Stephen's post calls attention to a coming Russian restriction on the NGOs. I say, good for the Russians. These NGOs may not be official government offices, but they generally receive generous funds from governments, and are little more than international busybodies. My cousin spent 10 years as a doctor (running a small hospital) in the Ugandan bush and has little good to say about NGOs, the WHO and other western organizations that were a disruptive force, and made his work more difficult.
