You go in and sign those waivers but nobody shows you a picture of an eye like mine...Personally, if I had my time again, I would just keep on wearing glasses. I know I am in the business of making people laugh and wish I could say it has been a journey. But it hasn't been a journey. It's been a nightmare.
I don't understand the demand for the procedure, given that so many of my friends who have had it have to eventually wear glasses again (albeit a weaker prescription), see permanent halos, and have trouble driving at night. As one ophthalmologist warned me, "If a contact lens is bothering you, you can remove it. If a LASIK incision is bothering you, you're out of luck, buddy." Interesting.
