Last Wednesday was John Gibson's rant on Fox news, "Gitmo: A Great American Institution." Here's his last line:
Come on America. Wise up. Come July 4th, celebrate Gitmo, a great American institution.
Now comes Rush Limbaugh selling "Club Gitmo" t-shirts, baseball caps, and mugs. (Read: Gitmo is so soft, it may as well be like a Club Med. This from Limbaugh, who claimed that Abu Ghraib was essentially nothing more than a frat hazing party.)
Here's my question: Where is all this adoration of militaristic torture and death going in what used to be America? This is some scary totalitarian stuff.
