Richard Waghorne wishes to remind us that the Bush administration's stated reasons for invading Iraq included humanitarian and strategic reasons.
What he fails to mention or seem to notice is that the humanitarian case is very weak and the strategic case even weaker. The only reasonable justification for invasion would have been a clear and present danger, and I believe polls of the American polity showed and show this. The antiwar crowd (myself included) is right to harp on this issue.
