Just heard on NBC News (close paraphrase of conversation between anchor Brian Williams and reporter Richard Engel just back from Iraq):
Williams: If you went to Haifa Street in Baghdad and you were surrounded by security guards, how long would you last?
Engel: It wouldn't matter if I was completely surrounded by security guards. As a Westerner, I wouldn't make it 100 steps without getting kidnapped.
Williams: That gives you a good picture of the security situation in Baghdad.
