Heroic Schwarzenegger: "I have no regrets."

Posted by Karen De Coster at March 12, 2005 09:10 AM

Schwarzenegger the bodybuilder, not the politician. In a recent interview, Arnold stated, in regards to his past steroid use: "I have no regrets about it, because at that time, it was something new that came on the market, and we went to the doctor and did it under doctors' supervision."

The Lifestyle Nazis and the politically correct media frenzy that feed off of such idiocy just *hate it* that Schwarzenegger refuses to punish himself into perpetuity over his past steroid use. They want to force Arnold to kowtow to their demands for regret, and to hear him say "You are all so correct; I was an idiot and therefore I apologize." Then they want him to become their celebrity spokesman for the vendetta against steroid use.

As a TV story reported, this was first brought up a sixth-grade girl who asked him about his views on steroid use. This little girl was my friend's daughter, who asked him the question at Arnold's open training session at last weekend's Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio.

The war against steroids - and any and all supplements and performance enhancements - is in high gear, and the usual what-you-do-with-your-life-is-my-business totalitarians are therefore trying to control and manage the choices of others, and instead of bringing forth civil criticism and/or healthy persuasion, they are using the power of government to make make their desires official. The same mentality that banned ephedra ("we're here for your own protection") is already working toward banning other, mainstream supplements, and indeed, Flinstones chewable vitamins may someday be on that hitlist.
