I attended a meeting with several members of the U.S. Congress yesterday where there was general agreement that, when it comes to arguing against government programs on the grounds that they violate the Constitution, "you can't make that argument any more in this town."
That is, the Washington Establishment has no respect at all for constitutional restraints on itself (surprise!) So, if you haven't already done so, throw away those handy dandy little pocket constitutions.
