NY Times columnists are always worth reading: Paul Krugman, the antiwar Keynesian; the tremendously fun Maureen Down; William Safire, serioso-pomposo voice of the neocons; internationalist Thomas Friedman, now writing one of his bestsellers, etc. But minicon David Brooks, chosen to succeed Safire, is b-o-r-i-n-g. Take a look, as I seldom do, at his latest, on yet another Republican sellout. We need a pool: how long before DB is exiled to the Weekly Standard?
