This morning on the television news I saw Viceroy Bremmer boarding a plane to supposedly leave Iraq. The network news cameras were all there, since he had just "handed over sovereignty" to a half dozen or so puppets.
The message that the Viceroy wanted to send was clear: Now that sovereignty is in good hands, he's literally leaving the country, since he no longer has any business there. Kinda reminds me of how King George, III recognized the American colonies as thirteen "free and independent states" in the Treaty of Paris and no longer claimed any sovereignty over them. Except King George didn't leave 150,000 troops in America to make sure this new "sovereignty" was implemented properly.
