Congress may investigate hospitals who charge to much to treat those without health insurance. Thankfully Tommy Thompson has established that the hospitals are not over charging because of federal regulations, even though numerous federal laws force hospitals to treat certain persons at below or no cost, thus driving up prices for everyone else. Instead of pushing more price controls on hospitals, Congress should restore a free market in health care.
