David Gordon wrote one of his great reviews of neocon warmonger Jean Bethke Elshtain's awful Just War Against Terror. Professor Elshtain, stung, sent him a hilarious complaint. Here it is, complete with David's response. And here is the review that started it all. As would not surprise anyone who knows David, he turns out to know more about her own subjects than the Rockefeller Professor at the University of Chicago. But then, she is simply a public intellectual for the state, justifying its every twist and turn.
