Another nice Krugman-bashing piece by Sabrin on Etherzone. It will make Bill Anderson proud.
"As far as the proponents of lower taxes are concerned, Krugman says they have been on a 25 year "crusade". They are on a crusade, Krugman claims, because "the advocates of tax cuts are relentless, even fanatical". In short, interpreting Krugman, tax cutters are fanatics, zealots, mindless ignoramuses who should never hold public office, because they want to return America to the limited federal government that existed before the New Deal and Great Society programs. Thus, according to Krugman, America entered the Promised Land, because FDR and LBJ gave the American people Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment insurance and other "safety net" programs. Now, the tax crusaders want to pull the plug on Washington's altruism."
