Looks like the Iraqi mess has gotten bad enough for George Bush to address the nation on Sunday night, Sep. 7, at 8:30 pm. He only wants to talk for about 15 minutes. Given the fact that Rummy and Wolfie skimped on troops to begin with and that it would cost a fortune to raise, train, and equip two additional Army combat divisions (that's what the so-called experts claim is needed), I wonder if he will call for a restoration of the draft? Or will he go back on his word about taxes, suspend the tax cut, and pour the money into the military? I guess it's about time for George to say or do something that will hammer the stock market, just to let us know who's really in control of the country.
