After the recent shootings and watching the response of those who would, in violation of their oaths to the Constitution, disarm the innocent, I would hope you are alarmed enough to take your own children to a safer place where they cannot be brainwashed, shot, or otherwise abused. My wife and I [she did most of the heavy lifting] homeschooled our three sons with very little money, and at a time when the neighbors’ kids told my kids we were all going to jail for it. At that time I never thought they would be shot at a public school. But I did know how dangerous the government school was, even then, especially in terms of spiritual and academic consequences. I had taught in a government school for a few years. And we were being exposed to excellent information from some of the pioneers of the modern home schooling movement. Most of the predictions of these early heroes have come to pass. And more recently John Taylor Gatto and others have piled on more overwhelming evidence. It’s not just that we are paranoid. They really are out to get us.

How safe are the schools even if you could eliminate the threat of shootings altogether?

The State allegedly protects children against unprotected sex in government-controlled brainwashing mills called public schools. Of course that leads to more unprotected experimentation on the part of a few naturally curious kids. The ones who may still be a little reluctant can be encouraged by the availability of free condoms and morning after pills. Don’t you just love the Ad Council* and other government panderers’ constant babble about talking to your kids about sex? Or drugs? Or, perhaps the new favorite: “Bullying!?” The schools are now full of people who feel compelled to talk to other people’s children about sex and drugs – or even their own notions of theology or witchcraft. If that were not bad enough they tacitly or not so tacitly teach them to Worship the State – and all with airs of moral superiority? How could we mere mortals know what’s best for their own children?

The fact that they are academically inferior is openly admitted by almost everyone. That they are morally and spiritually bankrupt is not much harder to discover.

How shall the State lecture us about Bullying when all of its plans are bound up in theft and coercion, and, potentially, brutality, or even Genocide? Do they also lecture the Afghanis and the Iraqis? The Chinese? The Russians? Native Americans?

It really is about the children, the children who are once again pawns in the old game of increasing the power of the State. It’s about who owns the children and who can dispose of them – once it uses them as it pleases. They are holding most of your children for ransom on so many levels. And you are not, for the most part, “getting it.” Are you?

What can be worse than a false sense of security? How about a false belief that your children are in a safe place?

Do you think Dianne Feinstein cares about your children or mine as much as she covets power and the aggrandizement of the State? There was a time before compulsory attendance laws; a time before the State decided to turn the tables on Liberty, a time before so much power had been drawn toward Washington, toward a powerful central government. And in those idyllic days a student might bring a gun or two to school for show and tell without raising an alarm or even an eyebrow.

Now we have Drug Free School Zones by edict. How is that working for you? Ritelin is still the drug of choice for fixing all the little boys who would act more like boys than little girls. Militant feminism is apparently the drug to make little girls act more like little boys.

We are already tolerating child abuse in those same school buildings, day in, day out, for decades. The pedophilia comes and goes but the abuse is fully integrated into the curriculum. The great majority of American children have been subjected for decades to a form of child abuse in schools designed to produce obedient drones for the State. And the schools that don’t want that level of protection can choose their own labels. Give the criminals a way to choose their own working environment. They do anyway. How many federal dollars have been spent to militarize police departments all across this once free country? What does that bode?

For years U.S. Representative Ron Paul has been called "Dr. No" by his detractors for consistently rejecting each and every Bill he has viewed as unconstitutional, unlawful or unwise. But after all this time that invective is seen by his supporters as a badge of honor. The Constitution and Ron Paul are becoming more familiar to Americans as Ron’s wisdom enters the vernacular of Americans of all ages, sexes and conditions, who still love Liberty. Could America be ready to have a man of such character and faithfulness in the White House? Have we learned some bitter lessons? Is Liberty the Answer?

More than anyone else Ron Paul is defining this election cycle.

"Common-sense, Constitutional government," didn’t make as much sense to many Americans as they had their first look at Ron Paul during the 2008 campaign. But just a few wars, and a few bailouts later, and they seem to be coming around to Ron’s old fashioned ideas for peaceful and economical solutions. If you listen carefully you’ll hear even President Obama, noticeably adjusting his rhetoric, waxing a little more Paulish. Ron Paul’s rustic, Constitutional views seemed alien. But not any more. The status quo dies hard. Just ask Galileo. But Ron Paul persists.

The simple consistent message of Ron Paul:

In order to be free, we must all live free, and let others live as they please, as long as they commit no crime against us. We Cannot be the Policemen of the World. We have ample resources to care for all of our people if we let the free market, lawful money, and private charity work for us. If a measure is incompatible with Liberty and/or the Constitution, and we could never afford it in a million years, why do it? It must be destroyed or abandoned before it spawns another system of related laws and regulations that will also need to be killed. As for the Federal Reserve Banking System, Ron wrote the book: End the Fed.

Ron has Time AND Reason on his side.

America is coming around — especially our young people and even our career military. We all have a vested interest in sustainable liberty, peace and prosperity. Even career military personnel understand that it’s easier to fight a war from a righteous defensive posture than from that of an offensive nation-building empire. Sun Tzu warned them a long time ago about overextending their forces. What could possibly make more sense to someone truly dedicated to the protection of their own country and Constitution than Just War Theory? Ron Paul enjoys reminding his rivals that the military support him financially more than all of the other candidates combined.

Ron Paul wants more Liberty for All of us as well as for Each of us. He recognizes one right far better than any of the other candidates: The right to be let alone.

This right is, of course, also possessed as against all other Individuals, all obligated to act strictly within the limits of their own equal rights. The Ron Paul Revolution will Continue After the Next Election.

A non-violent Revolution requires a clear vision with the tried and true first principles thoroughly integrated. Dr. Paul recently mentioned an "Intellectual Revolution." This is refreshing language and helps promote my hot issue which is Liberty Education. How can Americans Live Free, if they don’t know what it means? If there ever was a plan that worked well we need to return to it and cautiously consider its full meaning and original intent — line by line and precept by precept. Thanks to Dr. Paul the debates have been forced to deal with real facts and logic and not mere rhetoric. Each frustrated grimace from one of his competitors provides us with a queue for another teachable moment from Ron Paul, who seizes each one and takes it as far as it will go, anchoring his positions on the first principles of the Founders and the Framers of the Constitution.

Enter President Veto

Representative Ron Paul has truly been the one to "man up" when it comes to Constitutional issues. Once he is in the Oval Office I fully expect him to use the same playbook as legislation tries to make its way across his desk. I further would expect less use of pocket vetoes and no recourse to line-item veto or the ridiculous signing statements that we have seen in the current administration. If it’s tainted with unconstitutional elements it will be Vetoed. I have little doubt. The era of stealth legislation can be brought to an end.

The Constitution is what I expect him to use as a measuring stick for every jot and tittle in every measure sent to him. Constitutional responsibilities must be uniform across the board. The Congress should have no expectation of presidential approval on unconstitutional legislation such as they have in the past. Past habits of trading favors between the Executive and the Congress must be abandoned. If the Congress [not the Executive] thinks we need to go to war, they can pass the lawfully required Declaration and see if they can convince Ron not to veto it. This high bar could have prevented perhaps a million deaths in the last decade alone. Most of them were non-combatants, including women, children and old people. WAR IS A RACKET.

Ron will be voting the same way. Only his Veto will expose government to more effective scrutiny and control.

I also expect him to act maturely and circumspectly as he considers the safe reentry speed for our Constitutional Republic. Even though we can reasonably expect prosperity to return under a lawful system, there will be some pain and dislocations to deal with in the most prudent manner — more good reasons to have Ron Paul in the Oval Office.

Presidential Interposition

Oh! To have a President that would firmly stand between unlawful government and the rights of each individual citizen!

I don’t want government to grab me anywhere.

I don’t think a future Congress would want to embarrass itself with anything like the NDAA provisions Ron Paul has loudly decried, and for which he has already launched a repeal effort. A President Jealous of Individual Rights will be able to Defend them against the other two branches.

I would like to see a Congress with more reticence over whether it could get Any new laws passed. There will be Gridlock you say? We have been getting deluged by laws upon laws and regulations upon regulations most of which have absolutely nothing to do with lawful government or the Constitution.

Where could the Congress turn? Certainly Supreme Court Chief Justice, Andrew Napolitano would not lift a gavel to help them. Of course no Oath-keeping Judge would meddle in legislation. And the Courts have no Executive powers to wield.

Thomas Paine visualized Liberty and the process for installing and enforcing it within the following paragraph from his best seller, Common Sense.

As Al Gore continues to put his mouth where his money is…

It is widely known that Al Gore stands to make billions on this ruse. While we thought of him as a stick in the mud, barely able to Macarena, socially speaking, he has drawn quite a crowd to his big faux green kiosk. And if you don’t believe people are willing to buy useless junk, just scope out a few late night infomercials, or, for that matter, pharmaceutical ads. An Academy Award usually goes to the creator or an actor involved in a work of fiction. "An Inconvenient Truth" is looking more and more like extremely convenient fiction. Politicians occasionally lie to get elected. Scientists occasionally lie to acquire or retain grant money. We don’t know all of the pathology of Al Gore’s fantasies. But we can already see the pain train coming.

Whether Al is busy overselling the problem or profiting on the “solution,” it seems he will not be relenting any time soon. Because their dreams and claims are not based on reliable science we can expect the climate superstitionists’ “solutions” to wander further away from logic as time goes by. Even with all of the good intent in the world it is very difficult to solve problems that do not exist. In the meantime, resources will be diverted away from real, observable environmental problems that do exist. Example: Oozing landfills that are sitting over aquifers. We have real problems that need immediate attention. Ever hear of Yucca Mountain? Hanford? Of course I would advocate free market solutions to these — not restrictive and arbitrary regulations and bureaucracies to plague and tax the entire human race.

At times the real Truth may be a bit Inconvenient — but it does come out sooner or later. As soon as it comes out, the true career liar, the real Pro, launches a well-prepared damage control campaign. Can you imagine the next round? They already went to Copenhagen to sew up the deal. Now they are going to need something like a full-scale attack from outer space. Watch the tabloids carefully over the next few months. Orson Welles would love it. When someone mounts an instantaneous visceral counterattack you tend to suspicion that they either have something they are well prepared to hide or they are "true believers [read delusional]" — either of which can produce disastrous and expensive results.

If there is a man we need to save, or a women, or a child, I would say it should be one of those who are placed in the greatest jeopardy by the globalists’ plans for the planet. As I look across the world I think it is readily apparent that free market capitalism will do more for the suffering masses than any collectivist or coercive approach. The nations where it has been tried have been preferred destinations for numberless refugees over the years. The African continent desperately needs toilets and sanitation, food and potable water. They are not well prepared to simply skip all of the benefits of modern technology and live in some idyllic garden of Al Gore’s grandiose delusions. The Chinese and the Russians will tend to be more pragmatic.

I have determined that the snarky snort emanating from Al Gore as he prepares to diss an adversary is actually a “chortle” — some admixture of chuckling and snorting.

This annoying chortler has got to go! Notice the strategy as Al first laughs, then engages in disingenuous subterfuge and sophistry in lieu of anything like a straight answer. Do we need a review on how “non-profits” are often used to garner real profits? Watch both of these videos and think about them carefully. The same incident is presented two different ways: Here is the Fox News “Fair and Balanced” treatment. Here it is with the “advocacy framing” of the Left. I think both adversaries were probably disingenuous to some extent.

When Al says he is “not making one single penny” is he really saying he is making two or more?

He is at least condescending enough to avoid all debate. The Weather Channel guy has 30,000 scientists that want to sue for the truth to be exposed. One of the main reasons given is Al’s smugness and lying about the matter having been settled long ago through an overwhelming scientific consensus.

You’ll be relieved to know more about a “few” scientists who agree with the title of this article.

Bastiat put his finger on the combination of two principles that are being exposed right now in this controversy:

This leaves me with a contradiction in terms of Bastiat’s wisdom, which I have found to be nearly flawless. Could Al Gore be some strange mixture of False Greed and Stupid Philanthropy?

Is it possible that Al Gore has divested himself of any possibility of financial gain regarding this fraud? I have come to realize there are a lot of wealthy “philanthropists” out there who still crave possessions and power — even though they cloak their true motives within non-profit corporate veils. The tax code was not written by Moses.

Do you want global government and universal taxation through the UN in order to protect you from something that couldn’t happen in 10,000 years? When will all of these self-appointed philosopher kings stop torturing the rest of us with all of their artificial plans?

Isn’t science supposed to be so much more than monkey see, monkey do? Is there so much peer pressure being generated here that such reputedly intelligent humans are willing to trash their own disciplines in order to fit in with Al Gore’s clique? When I think of how Copernicus and Galileo labored to bring science out of the Dark Ages, I have to wonder how much Al Gore is willing to invest in his effort to take all of us into a new Dark Age, which by many recent accounts, may turn out to be Cooler than the last. If you think the Carbon Tax is bad, just wait ’til Al discovers the rest of the Periodic Table of the Elements. We have yet to discover AlGoreium.

God has given to men all that is necessary for them to accomplish their destinies. He has provided a social form as well as a human form. When I was designing the title of that article, I must admit to a bit of sensationalism, tactically speaking. But, after careful reflection, the only word I might think of removing would have to be "Healthcare." Of course I know a catchy title can get an otherwise unsuspecting reader to go to the opening paragraph. Otherwise I might choose something like, "Just another Healthcare article if you have some time on your hands" or perhaps something like, "I think a National Healthcare Plan might be a bad idea."

If the plan were only "national" it would be unlawful and unconstitutional. And that aspect will move important medical decisions and resources further away from where they belong. "Nationalizing" anything not specifically delegated to the federal government by the Constitution is a violation of the Oaths of Office of everyone involved, as well as the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of our Bill of Rights. Healthcare was private in the beginning and the free market will always be the right place for its decisions and resources.

I didn’t use the words "Nazi" or "Hitler" in the title. Come on!

But wasn’t "Nazi" some sort of acronym for National Socialism? And wasn’t power in Germany fairly well concentrated and centralized in one party, under one Dictator? Surely the good ole USA would never attempt to centralize all power under a de facto one-party system with dictatorial powers being concentrated more and more every day. National Socialism could never come to America. Why, the People would never put up with it. Would they? Actually, FDR was selling National Socialism on this side of the Atlantic and Hitler was selling it on his side. Their marketing techniques were somewhat at odds.

If the plan were not Socialistic, Fascistic, and/or Communistic, it might be a little bit Constitutional. If the money for any such plan were to go back to the person who "contributed" in the precise amount he put in it would still be unconstitutional because the government cannot lawfully operate an insurance program. That’s one reason Social Security is not called "Social Insurance" as it is in some other modern socialist States. The Supreme Court ruled [correctly for once] a long time ago, that the government could not operate an insurance business or describe any of its programs as "insurance." If you could only get out what you put in why would you want to participate? The combination of Keynesian economics with insurance-like programs under government control creates a lottery mentality where millions are drawn in by the hope of pick-pocketing their own grandchildren or fellow citizens. Not trusting their own capabilities mixed with those who elect to join cooperative entities based on the freedom of association without coercion, they have been conditioned to believe the government must be involved for anything to be financially sound over the long term. In this case they are choosing to trust a government that admits it is missing more than $10 Trillion Dollars and refuses to account for it. Some Fiduciary eh?

It is Socialistic because it aims to distribute costs across all demographics by any other means than the free market or any basis for security of private property. If the whole country gets sick enough everyone is supposed to get poor enough to take care of everyone else — always with the notable exception of the elite — who always have their own plans — their own escape hatch. And the government is going to make it all cost less — just this once.

The cost factors can also be expanded indefinitely as "advances" in medicine become more and more costly. This is convenient for the government solvers of bigger and bigger problems. A larger government budget tends to have more wiggle room for pork barrel.

It is Fascistic, in that it aims to involve government and business in various combinations in order to control or regulate outcomes — always directing more wealth and power to the centralized authority. The authoritarian consolidation of business and government is the essence of Fascism. It is not allowed by our Constitutions.

It is Communistic, to the degree that it is consistent with the Communist Manifesto. Review the Communist Manifesto if you need to. Then read Ron Paul’s Manifesto. One of these things is not like the other. Communism has always evolved into some sort of Animal Farm where an Elite makes one set of secret rules for itself and another for the Proles. It is marketed as leveling but results in class envy and class warfare. Human beings naturally tend toward some sort of free market solutions within the context of any economic environment. In prison, anything that is contraband becomes "money." A communist country is a larger version of a prison. You can’t come and go as you please. If you can’t leave your healthcare plan — perhaps it has communistic characteristics?

Are we living in a free country — or is it getting more and more like Animal Farm? Obviously some Americans are more Equal than others. Outcome-based economics of any description can never be made lawful. All of the unlawful isms involve this characteristic to one extent or another. In other words the ends always justify the means. At the core of all their means is the problem of theft by or through government, or mutual plunder as Bastiat would call it.

Once this corrupt government owns healthcare it will be run so poorly that they will be forced to prohibit competition. Monopolies are bad. Government monopolies are worse. Free market competition always embarrasses government-controlled business efforts.

Perhaps those who support the plan should be asked to justify it by recourse to the Constitution, private property rights, individual sovereignty and Liberty. The concept of Equal Protection Under the Law must be abandoned under such a plan.

It is also Criminal in nature because it involves taking property from one citizen, by force if necessary, and giving to another who has not earned it. Bastiat maintained that an act cannot be decriminalized merely by changing the perpetrator’s name to "government."

If I knock down your front door at 3 in the morning, hold a shotgun to your head, and demand say $2400 for a routine medical procedure for one of my kids, would that be a crime? What if I rob your kid’s piggybank to take my cat to the Vet?

Where will it end?

Conversely, Jefferson would predict that the People, left alone to associate and solve their own problems with their own money, without having their substance wasted by government, would be more adequate to the task of pursuing their own happiness.

Please regard my titles as alarms going off — that is their purpose.

I am not really into name calling. I merely use some sensationalism to get Americans to become true Americans. Ideas have consequences. They also fit into to certain reasonably well-defined categories. As everything un-American comes into vogue there will less and less use for the distinctions between Americanism, Constitutionalism, and all the other isms. A considerable amount of history will have to be discarded so as not to confuse those future generations who are being enslaved now. Will they still be slaves long after the definition of slavery is obliterated? Down the Memory Hole we go.

These are dangerous times — and inflammatory labels are only one small way to get some attention. Thankfully we also have the incredible leverage of the Internet.

Jefferson saw a very bright future for us — only if we maintained our principles:

Not having direct knowledge of the details within a proposed Bill does not apparently concern many in Congress, who are either Illiterate, Seditious, or both. They must also avoid reading the Constitution. It just sounds too much like another Indictment.

At every turn ObamaCare’s advocates are damning themselves with transparent rhetoric that constantly reveals their shallowness and their constitutional illiteracy — along with their nonfeasance, misfeasance and malfeasance in office.

The midterm elections are coming. The more we read and learn, the more of them will lose their seats. This could be building up to a tremendous opportunity for an internal cleansing — something highly recommended by naturopaths.

To the Congress their Oath is a Joke on You The People.

Does a Representative have a Right to vote for a measure he has never read? The least they could do is to ask which page contains their own personal pork provisions. Perhaps they could get a copy with yellow highlighter on the parts they lust to drool over.

If we are to listen to John Conyers, it would seem they are "terribly busy." But I can’t imagine Conyers voting for a Bill that didn’t give him something. If anyone understands the "what’s in it for me" principle it would have to be the Congress.

It was not always so. It took us a few years to get from the 1787 political consensus to the place where nationalized single-payer health care could even be contemplated.

Davy Crockett got it right.

The Supreme Court, in a more Constitutionally literate ruling had this to say:

“The catalogue of means and actions which might be imposed upon an employer in any business, tending to the satisfaction and comfort of his employees, seems endless. Provision for free medical attendance and nursing, for clothing, for food, for housing, for the education of children, and a hundred other matters might with equal propriety be proposed as tending to relieve the employee of mental strain and worry. Can it fairly be said that the power of Congress to regulate interstate commerce extends to the prescription of any or all of these things? Is it not apparent that they are really and essentially related solely to the social welfare of the worker, and therefore remote from any regulation of commerce as such? We think the answer is plain. These matters obviously lie outside the orbit of congressional power.” [295 U.S. 330, 368, 55 S.Ct. 758, 771 (1935)]

We can have a Constitutional Republic or Socialism — but not both.

The question is simple for me, and I would imagine Dr. Paul would agree: It’s unconstitutional and we could never afford it in a million years. But what does Ron Paul know? He’s only an economist, a medical doctor that refuses to murder the unborn, and a lover of the Constitution. He is also Constitutionally literate and articulate — traits we should demand in all who take an Oath.

Perhaps Obamacare is going to teach more people the difference between Keynesian and Austrian Economics faster than anything previously attempted. Obama et al. are Hell-bent to pass it. They will morph it and try to get any small amount of it tucked into some other Bill somewhere.

The ObamHords are getting nervous enough to make really stupid mistakes: Obama’s shill caught playing doctor. They are spending credibility like drunken sailors. The more they want it the more dangerous it will be to give it to them.

The Hemlock Society [sorry — they are now called "Compassion and Choices"] helped craft the euthanasia-related sections of Obamacare. — Read the Daily Paul.

We must Euthanize HR 3200 and all of its Monstrous Permutations.

I know not what course others may take. But, as for me, I prefer my present "Constitutional Health Care Provider," Dr. Ron Paul. He’s a real doctor too.

Test it on the Congress if they think it’s all that. Then vote out all of its wicked supporters. We shouldn’t wish it on our worst enemies. It will be a type of slow-burn euthanasia or biological warfare plied against the American People. It will not come along without eugenic characteristics and coerced abortion. It will not be "free."

He is partially correct. The cost of everything will soon be unsustainable for the average private citizen; perhaps for all citizens — if the Feds continue to print more and more fiat currency and collectivize every area of human existence. Fill in anything you like in Grossman’s gross illogic above. Universal Utopia is just as close as your empty wallet. If you can’t afford it surely the government can. But where does the government’s money come from? What happens if you add up the cost of "universal healthcare" for all the people, and you still come up with a number that is larger than you can afford to pay — even with all the people’s money? Socialism is just as empirically "unsustainable" as Empire Building.

If the "solution" involves coercion and theft; taking money by force, or the ultimate threat of force, from one citizen or group, and giving it to another citizen or group, for their alleged benefit, it is nothing more than grand theft by government without a shred of Constitutional authority.

No one will ever be able to pay the ultimate cost of this. It is another part of the war of government against the lives, liberty and property of We the People.

It you are one of those stubborn folks who still expects to find the Devil in the details, you may want to do a little research on H.R.3200.

Did you find the Devil?

If not from Hell, where do these voluminous pieces of legislation come from? If Congress is the only Branch in which Legislative authorities are vested [see Article I, Section 1, Clause 1] how can it be that they almost never seem to have enough time to acquaint themselves with the Bills they pass, much less the Constitution itself. How many in the Congress can explain the Constitutional basis for this latest invasion?

As I carefully read the Constitution, again and again, I see a model for government where initiatives are the prerogative of the Sovereign People through their Representatives. It is very clear that Legislative functions are exclusively vested in the Congress. Initiatives should come from the Sovereign People — and they should fund them with their own money or through any other non-coercive mode.

If a provision is not part of the General Welfare, that is to say, if it does not benefit everyone without taking more or less from one, and giving more or less to another, it has no chance of meeting Constitutional Muster.

Most of what we now call "government" is unconstitutional.

Bastiat described the formula that must eventually be applied to all socialistic provisions of law:

But how is this legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime.

Then abolish this law without delay, for it is not only an evil itself, but also it is a fertile source for further evils because it invites reprisals. If such a law — which may be an isolated case — is not abolished immediately, it will spread, multiply, and develop into a system.

The person who profits from this law will complain bitterly, defending his acquired rights. He will claim that the state is obligated to protect and encourage his particular industry; that this procedure enriches the state because the protected industry is thus able to spend more and to pay higher wages to the poor workingmen.

I challenge Anyone to assail the logic of Bastiat above. Socialism is grounded in theft. You cannot dress it up as charity or philanthropy. Therefore, I say the solution remains the same — even after it is entrenched. It must be strangled to death; obliterated.

Even the Russians are warning us not to go any further down the Socialist Road. "Been there, Done that," say the Russians. And still our Keynesians say, "But this is a new variation of socialism. Surely this time it will work. We just need a little more government support; more u2018free’ money." You can collectivize debt and roll it into the Inflation Tax but it must ultimately be paid by someone.

Socialized Medicine has had devastating consequences everywhere it has been tried. These consequences are not going away. Our socialists in the congress seem to be in a terrible rush to ram this through before the public becomes any more aware of the failures in Europe and Canada that they are modeling. The old accounts of it in Russia are horrifying.

The Best Solutions will come from the Free Market.

Yes, Healthcare should be free for everyone who is willing to pay the cost of their own. Any gaps should be met by private charity. It should be free from government support or control and free from all coercion. The government should get out of the healthcare business altogether. They have already done enough damage. The good that has been accomplished is despite their involvement. Much of their effort has been used to stifle the natural evolution of solutions in the free market.

If you want the best and least expensive Anything, get the government out of your equation.

Obama sees inherited problems. I see inherited solutions. One of us is looking back much further. History provides every important detail of how we got into this mess. It also illuminates the path of escape. Tyranny can be reverse engineered.

Obama’s constant kvetching about "inherited problems" would be cause for an instant discharge for any executive in the real world of real business [where all Bailouts are unlawful]. It is akin to Homer Simpson’s: "It was like that when I got here." I don’t need to hear it. He was not drafted. He asked for the job. We could have elected Ron Paul.

It is the responsibility of the President to faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and, to the best of his Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. His duties are outlined in Article II of the Constitution. They do not include blaming previous presidents. They would necessarily include making things right that are out of line with Constitutional Mandates. This might include small details like prosecuting almost everyone in the top tiers of the financial rackets that have been erected despite the Constitution — instead of bailing them out. As we carefully read Article II we have to wonder how long it has been since a president took it to heart.

Precedent is no basis or excuse for executive function or authority. Sadly, we have also found it to be very popular within the judicial branch — which is by far the most corrupt, having known better since before day One. The judicial branch has knowingly excused a creeping, incremental departure from the rule of law. They are not just useful idiots. They have proven to be brilliant Seditionists.

In the real world we don’t just cite blame — we fix blame. For that we need some evidence; some history, some context, some forensics. Could it be our financial problems began when we first abandoned sound Constitutional principles related to lawful money and banking?

This is a really old problem:

Consider the political rhetoric during a "peaceful transition of power" documented in 1st Kings 12: "My father laid on you a heavy yoke [read u2018total burden of government']; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions [read u2018unlawful trillions for bailouts on top of all the unlawful spending that preceded them — with more on the way'].”

The words were blurted out by Rehoboam, a young, overbearing new king, who had decided to ignore the wise old men who had served his father very well, and take the advice of his contemporaries and cronies who had no real wisdom or experience.

The old counselors had advised: "If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever." [The "good words" spoken of were to be in pursuance of the Law of Moses.]

If Obama, and the rest of us, would realize the inherited blame goes back through every administration including Washington’s; and if we would carefully heed the wisdom of all the old men who framed the Constitution as well as their contemporaries, and even their critics, we would have the most realistic hope of returning our society to the rule of law. Every president, and every generation must decide to pass the buck forward or backward, or take full responsibility for a sweeping correction which cannot be accomplished without returning to first principles. And we cannot return to first principles until we know them in full context.

Samuel Adams said it best: "But we want no excuse for any supposed mistakes of our ancestors. Let us first see it prov’d that they were mistakes. Till then we must hold ourselves obliged to them for sentiments transmitted to us so worthy of their character, and so important to our security…"

Please realize the statement above is as pregnant with meaning as an Obama or a Dubya speech is vacuous. Take it to heart and take it to brain. Sam incited our first Revolution. We have to go back to the place where we departed from the truth. And we have to study the original documents until we "get it."

Did Obama inherit the ability to read, carefully study, and obey the Constitution? If not, why not? Take all the in-between guys out and we find that Obama inherited the same Constitution we all had in the beginning. That is the "change" I will always be working for.

Does Obama say, "Here’s where Dubya [or any other president] disobeyed the written law — and this is another area in which my administration will obey it?" He might as well be saying, "Dubya chastised you with Whips, I will chastise you with Scorpions" or "Whereas Dubya’s deficits were in the Trillions, mine will be in the Quadrillions — and it is none of your damn business what I spend it on."

Will these Scorpions sting us or our grandchildren? Will there be a trace of American Liberty left for any of them to enjoy?

A partial list of major things plaguing us; things that we didn’t get from the Constitution — or any alleged flaw in the Constitution:

The Federal Reserve, Fiat Money, Toxic Paper, Standing Armies, Deficits, Federal Supremacy, Judicial Supremacy, Bailouts, The erosion of Habeas Corpus, Abuse of Eminent Domain, Gun laws, Foreign Aid, The Military Industrial Complex, Imperial Hubris.

As you can readily see, the partial list above contains hypertext links to corresponding Google searches at LewRockwell.com. In a sense, we are all Auditing the federal government all of the time — but without enough definitive data — or the proper accounting tools. We need to get into the forensic accounting phase and expose the magnitude of the Problem. For this I would enlist the Austrian School of Economists and have a few of them camped out in Congress and the White House, feeding unfiltered information directly to the American People, until we all realize not only the impossibility of "auditing" the Federal Reserve Banking System, but also the necessity of Abolishing it and eradicating it completely. The more we know, the more support there will be for shutting it down. Those who continue to worship at the Keynesian Altar will be more and more embarrassed as the lights are turned on. Right now their minions are locking arms. But the truth is on the side of Liberty.

Instead of going back to our founding principles, this administration is going back to the perpetrators of our most egregious financial problems — "the usual suspects" — and asking them for a fresh approach, while it perpetuates the addiction to military adventurism of the past few presidents. This is not enough of a change for me.

If Obama is as brilliant as advertised we may find he is also callous and cynical — because he is taking the country in a disastrous direction that has been tried many times before. The slope of hyperinflation is at hand. Like a black hole, the closer you get the more certain your extinction becomes. Yet Obama is not quoting anything I recognize from the wisest counselors of the past. Either they are wrong or he is wrong.

How can Obama have the gall to begin a pitch with words like, "Before we ask the American Taxpayer to foot the bill, we have to do such and such [where u2018such and such' is some bizarre allusion to some form of virtual accountability]?" There is no accountability. The buck is passed backward and there is no accountability going forward. Obama is not asking you or me. He’s not asking the Founders and Framers. He is taking; stealing, misappropriating. It doesn’t seem as though he even has to ask the fawning Dems for anything. They are all as gaga as Nancy Pelosi. The Republicans seem to be either dazed or daft. They are still not humbled enough to eat Ron Paul’s Crow.

A few presidents have made manly attempts to return to the rule of law.

Bastiat maintained that government cannot lawfully commit an act that would be unlawful for any individual. His reasoning in this is unassailable as far as I have been able to determine.

In Luke 11:11—13 we find another Biblical reference to the friendly Scorpion: "If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"

Do you, do I, know enough about Liberty to bequeath it to our children and grandchildren?

“Honour, justice and humanity call upon us to hold, and to transmit to our posterity, that liberty, which we received from our ancestors. It is not our duty to leave wealth to our children: but it is our duty, to leave liberty to them. Exercise: Get a transcript of Anything Obama is saying. Check to see how it corresponds to the Founding Principles or the Communist Manifesto. Make the same comparisons/contrasts with anything his cronies are saying. Repeat as necessary. Find someone to mentor. Many of you are already doing this. You are the Liberty Choir.

"The illusions of hope" are not going to pay the bills. And the black hole of bailouts will suck everything into it that comes close enough. Throwing good money after bad would be foolish enough. But throwing fiat money after the delusions of economic ignorance is well beyond all folly.

Businesses and Countries often deserve failure [Does Zimbabwe come to mind?]. Failure is a built-in factor of anything that starts off on the wrong foundation. Turnarounds are rare. But they must be based on sound principles which must be embraced in lieu of the unsound. If you amass and "enable" enough companies that are allegedly "too big to fail" you will bring down the entire national economy. Sooner or later we learn our lessons. But the sooner nature is allowed to take its course, the sooner we can rebuild on a solid foundation. Have you ever had a root canal where the dentist didn’t manage to clean out the tooth properly? If you did you would remember. This economy is headed toward Abscess unless the root causes are fully addressed.

It is curious to note that they keep using the term "toxic paper" as if precision in euphemisms no longer mattered. How do you come up with a nice way to describe bad debts contracted under various fraudulent circumstances and combinations — which are to be paid off with fake money? Do they think the American public no longer equates "toxic" with "poisonous" or "deadly?"

It is as though this administration has seen the powerful body of evidence that refutes every notion they have about launching a "recovery," and they are running headlong in the opposite direction. "Swindling futurity" as Jefferson called it, is not a difficult concept. Surely the average Harvard grad can grasp it. You just keep looking for new and creative ways to steal property from the estates of other people’s grandchildren. If we maintain the present course there will not be much left for even the Elite to enjoy. These machinations would be impossible without a fiat money supply.

A concentration of too many fools can be mistaken for a conspiracy.

What fools these mortals be who think they can rely on Keynesian economics, fractional reserve banking, fiat currency, socialism, and the monopoly of force. After decades of decline they expect to cure the disease by helping the pathogens multiply. As Ron Paul has said they are trying to put out a fire with kerosene. Ron only seems to be a prophet if you haven’t read what he has read.

Bastiat: “Government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else.” He also went into detail to explain "That Which Is Seen, and That Which Is Not Seen."

Is the Obama Administration about to overturn Bastiat? What happens when the real producers in an economy fully comprehend the truth of Bastiat? Are they going to be more eager to be fleeced again?

What about Gresham’s Law?

Is good money suddenly going to start chasing out "toxic paper?" Certainly not of its own accord. Does it really matter what form the bad money takes? Is it reassuring to you to know you can exchange two fives of fiat currency for a ten of the same inherently worthless toxic paper?

Could the "government" and the Fed have pulled this off without the aid and comfort of legal tender laws?

Will the Chinese and the Russians continue to be amused? I don’t think so. How would you like to have the assignment of going to the Chinese and asking them to extend a little more credit to the US? Now may not be a good time. You might not come back.

Have I stumbled on another reason for the US to have an aversion to "nuclear proliferation?" "If you don’t have Nukes we don’t have to pay you. We’ll just keep taking what we want and giving you some form of fiat IOUs."

The creation of practically infinite amounts of new "money" will eventually drive away all creativity, productivity and resources. These will make themselves wings and wait until it seems safe to come out of hiding.

Real recovery starts when the delusions fade.

We need a combination of negatives and positives to get this thing going again. The companies whose management policies and economic models have caused them to fail must be allowed to fail — especially when other companies in the same industry are surviving. Someone had foresight. Now someone can gain hindsight.

The companies that have shown themselves to be successful without "government" "help" must be left to their own devices. We must guard against those in government service who are "concerned" about "helping" all companies "equally." Any notion of equality of outcomes is an unlawful concept. Failure is a good thing when you are running toward a precipice.

We have a local dry cleaner who posts pithy sayings on his sign. This week it says that, had he known the Bailout was coming he would have defaulted on a much bigger loan. Watch now as new "industries" arise just to take advantage of the new flow of stimulus money. It is happening already. Radio ads are being broadcast that would have seemed shameful to our parents’ generation. It would appear there has been a merger between the ambulance chasers and the mortgage brokers. "Come one, come all! Get your new toxic loans." "Don’t worry! It’s a Government Grant. You’ll Never have to pay it back!"

I dare say that companies who may have listened to Ron Paul in the past would have had a survival rate somewhat higher than any who may have relied on the business acumen of Nancy Pelosi — or almost anyone else in the Congress or the White House.

And what about a country who follows Ron Paul’s advice and that of the Founding Generation?

The above speaks of a temporary situation. Certain principles of law will Never be overturned. The Correction always comes.

Alexander Pope coined: "Hope springs eternal in the human breast…" But he also cautioned: "A little learning is a dangerous thing." And let us never forget, "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread."

If you are contented to know "government" as your Surrogate Murderer, Thief and Destroyer, read no further. As Murray Rothbard said, they are "a bandit gang writ large." The 20th Century saw more Death by Government than any other so far. The purpose of this article is to warn against our repeating or exceeding that record. Eternal Vigilance requires more than a healthy dose of skepticism — it requires a jaundiced eye. But you may need to become more sensitive to pink or red than yellow.

The word "Thief" in the verse I parodied substituting "government" above [John 10:10 KJV] would appear to be one Satan or the Devil within the context of that verse. When government imitates him the comparison is apt. In fact, if you read a little further over in the book of Revelation you will find that its predictions for the Apocalypse include many references to a league between Beelzebub and some sort of one-world government. If the Devil is in the details, surely he is busy in the operations of corrupt governments all over the world. But that leaves us no excuse to cooperate with him or go along willingly. "Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God."~ Thomas Jefferson

Socialistic governments are grounded in Theft. It’s what they do:

The more they steal the more dangerous they become. Sooner or later they get to the killing and destroying phases.

If you still want to pretend government is a necessary evil you should at least recognize that it is more precisely described as being somewhere on a continuum between two bad options:

Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. ~ George Washington

You can make believe it is reason and eloquence, or even salesmanship, if you like. But in the end you will feel the difference. Considering the last election it is painfully obvious that the American people fall prey to smooth talkers with zero substance from both wings of the National Socialist Party. We are most vulnerable when we are politically and economically illiterate.

If you "work" in "government service" without question, I cannot think of a better way to describe you than to say you are a Slave. A reading of the Government Code of Ethics may help you to start sorting things out. Put down the doughnut and back away from the computer. If your position is being used to enable more government theft, own up to it and quit, or work diligently to expose and eliminate the corruption. Become a whistle blower. The GAO says we are missing Trillions. Are you part of the problem or part of the solution?

Am I being uncharitable toward the Infestation of our capitol city? A little harsh perhaps?

The Whisky Rebellion was put down in order to flex the muscles of the new federal government that was Never meant to have power Over the States. Hamilton was apparently the orchestrator. After that came the Trail of Tears. I have heard that there is one [1] treaty that the US Government kept with the Native Americans. I’ll believe that one when I see it. Honest Abe fomented the War of Northern Aggression — which started with more than one episode of firing on unarmed Northern civilians. Later came such sad episodes as Japanese Internment; the Atomic Bombs that vaporized Japanese civilians; Ruby Ridge and Waco, and an endless stream of phony wars — at least since 1812. Does anyone remember the Tuskegee Experiment? Of course that was then, and the FDA incest with Big Pharma is now. Now the government is benevolent — and they have incessant television ads to help us all believe it.

"Sure, You Can Trust the Government!"

Our real history has many tawdry details — almost none of which reaches the modern classroom — unless it is colored by dyed-in-the-wool collectivist/statists. If we did anything "bad" in the past they will offer a collectivist/statist explanation and a collectivist/statist way of avoiding it in the future. Governments who are supposed to protect and defend, keep coming up with more efficient ways to kill their own people, as well as the less prepared among the other nations of the world. If the Iraqis had already possessed deployed "WMDs" it is very doubtful that George the Brave II would have considered attacking them.

Calling theft "Wealth Redistribution" can never make it right.

Q: Where does wealth come from?

A: Not Ever from government!

You say: “There are persons who have no money,” and you turn to the law. But the law is not a breast that fills itself with milk. Nor are the lacteal veins of the law supplied with milk from a source outside the society. Nothing can enter the public treasury for the benefit of one citizen or one class unless other citizens and other classes have been forced to send it in. If every person draws from the treasury the amount that he has put in it, it is true that the law then plunders nobody. But this procedure does nothing for the persons who have no money. It does not promote equality of income. The law can be an instrument of equalization only as it takes from some persons and gives to other persons. When the law does this, it is an instrument of plunder.

With this in mind, examine the protective tariffs, subsidies, guaranteed profits, guaranteed jobs, relief and welfare schemes, public education, progressive taxation, free credit, and public works. The Bible has many references to "thieves," which made me think of repeating an exercise I have often done with other words. I took the word "thief" and searched the familiar King James Version for more references that could aptly describe "government." I think I may have found a pattern.

Here are a few more quotes:

If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep [as in a government "lockbox"] and it be stolen out of the man’s house ["appropriated"]; if the thief be found [or if the government gets caught] let him pay double. ~ Exodus 22:7

If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods. ~ Exodus 22:7—9 [This one makes me think of all the most recent violations of a fiduciary nature within this federal government — and what ought to be done to rectify the situation. Now all we need is an honest judge who is not biased toward the Feds. Has the government put its hand on your goods by printing fiat money and colluding with a fractional reserve banking system?]

Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: ~ Proverbs 29:24a [Does this speak of government employment? Non-essential government workers? Unconstitutional government workers? Monies spent on subcontractors who are doing tasks not authorized by law? Bailout recipients? Monies channeled to benefit lobbyists or campaign donors? Bankers who print "money" with nothing to back it? What about the perversion of eminent domain by the courts?]

As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets. — Jeremiah 2:26 [This example is a direct Biblical comparison between corrupt government and a "thief." But our government servants are no longer ashamed for the most part — they are brazen — although they occasionally feign embarrassment when caught red-handed.]

But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. — Matthew 24:43 [If we were truly informed and vigilant would we be more aware of the government's thefts and their magnitude? I think so.]

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. ~ John 10:1 [In a broad sense, this verse made me think of illegitimate power grabs or "usurpations" so prevalent in the current revision of American government.]

This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief… ~ John 12:6 b [Spoken of Judas, this one made me think of Bill Clinton whenever he talked about feeling someone else's pain. But it seems to apply well to any disingenuous thief who has taken on the mantle of government service. Some of them are very eloquent thieves — more slippery than greased Teflon.]

The Bible contains many references to law, justice, politics and money — all good word searches for further study — all good reference points for measuring government performance. The Founders knew the Bible very well and referred to it often. Under Jefferson’s guidance it was used as a textbook in the DC schools.

Conversely:

The fear of God in the context above has to involve the protection of God-given rights and equality before the law for all. It could never involve stealing from one citizen to benefit another who has not earned it. Otherwise "Thou Shalt Not Steal" would not have universal application. It never did have universal appeal.

It has been quite some time apparently, since the American People have put the Fear of God into their Servants. It would appear we now punish ourselves by reelecting them.

Like it or not, there has been no effective way to rein in the federal government since they abandoned the lawful money provisions of the Constitution. This is partially because all three Branches are in Collusion. They have a book full of blank checks drawn on your account. These abuses of the monetary authorities are the modi operandi of the Grandest Financial Crimes in history — now being perpetrated flagrantly, publicly and in brazen defiance of every standard of morality and ethics. Estimates of unfunded future government obligations now range in the tens of trillions.

Do the Math if you can. Maybe the Devil will have to play catch-up.

Fiat money is the mother of all toxic papers.

The reason for bubbles, bursting and Bailouts, is our fake, phony, fiat, fraudulent, intrinsically worthless, "money." Because it is inherently fraudulent and criminal it spawns all sorts of other criminal and speculative aberrations. Among these we find all sorts of convoluted ways to "trade," in all sorts of other "securities" — all made insecure by being drawn from the same poisoned well. This encourages and institutionalizes all kinds of theft and speculation and discourages industry, frugality and creativity. It even encourages and draws out unlawful wars. For wars need not be successful in any other terms than generating debt for the banksters to continue increasing their power, wealth and influence. They love getting paid by both sides — or whoever is left.

War Is A Racket — and Fiat Money with Fractional Reserve Banking represents a universal war against the person, liberty and property of everyone on the planet. The Federal Reserve banking system, along with its siblings in all other major countries, has enjoyed its criminal enterprise for almost 100 years — practically unmolested.

It’s time for justice to be done. It’s time for a rectification of our monetary system and a full vindication of our Constitution. An audit will not suffice. Nothing less than Abolishing the Fed will do. Tragically, our Criminal Congress has not been ethical or manly for such a long time that we couldn’t trust them with any part of the job of investigating the Fed. They are effectively "on the take." There is at least one notable exception. Guess who.

This was all predicted:

Because of its transcendent toxicity, the fraud of fiat money with fractional reserve banking will surface again and again. Like the cocktail of noxious poisons that oozes from underneath mounds of dirt piled high over the worst of our Superfund landfill sites, the poisonous effects of criminal money and banking, gradually, inexorably, seep in, to choke the life out of every positive economic activity denominated in their toxic paper. The World’s poorest suffer the most from this malignancy — making it all the more criminal.

The hardest work the banksters ever do:

Until they are banned, fraudulent banking establishments will never finish the task of covering their bloody tracks. Their PR campaign must go on at all times. It must be powerful, thorough, incessant. But it must also be subtle enough to fool most of the people most the time.

A thorough education in Classical Libertarianism, Austrian Economics, and Original Americanism, ought to leave any potential victim immune. Perhaps now more than ever, with the leveling effect that the Internet has on media, we will be able to effectively educate the public as to the devastation that has been wrought upon the entire world by the obscene crimes of modern banking establishments in collusion with most of the more powerful national governments and all of the governments of the 50 States of the Union. Of course we must not forget all of the international corporations and organizations they have spawned — not the least of which is the UN. All these have a long-standing policy of "bailing out" relatives and friends — even "enemies," on many occasions.

It could never be anything but extremely dangerous to let any private person, special interest, or combination, control an essentially secret source of indefinite unlimited wealth, value, or power.

Once upon a time there was man who developed an excellent technique for printing his own version of the $100 Federal Reserve Note — a species of toxic paper over which the federal government tries to maintain an exclusive monopoly. This man was going to be a very clever, "conservative" criminal. Life would be just a little sweeter with this extra advantage he would have over his neighbors. He decided that his bills were so good no one would ever find out as long as he kept his spending to just a little bit more than his regular job could support. Who would notice a 10% lifestyle enhancement? He told no one — not even his wife. But one evening his brother-in-law walked in on him while he was finishing up a fresh batch of almost perfect 100s. The brother-in-law was overwhelmed. After he was able to calm his brother-in-law down, our hero acquiesced and gave him just a few samples to spend "judiciously," explaining to him, that, with a little discipline, there would be enough for them to enjoy and share indefinitely. If they could only exercise the right amount of self-control, detection was only a very remote concern, because of the extremely high quality of the product. Sadly, for him and his enterprise, our hero’s confidence in his brother-in-law proved to have been a gross mistake. Just a few hours later that same evening, after a few drinks and a few dances, and a few more drinks, the brother-in-law’s tongue began to wag out of control. Soon after, he was fitted with a shiny pair of silver bracelets and got to meet a lot of nice men in uniforms and suits. Naturally his attorney encouraged him to turn in his "partner" in a plea-bargaining arrangement. With the help of the federal prosecutor he was able to relocate to somewhere in Arizona as a permanent quest of the witness protection program.

The Federal Reserve in collusion with Treasury and the Congress only impersonates the hero in the story above. In reality they are all more like his profligate brother-in-law. With the financial leverage they have attained through fiat money coupled with a fractional reserve system that effectively goes down to a zero reserve requirement; with no oversight or control by any agent truly answerable to the People; with their tentacles reaching into the pockets of almost every property owner on the planet; and with their minions and military, undermining life, liberty and property in almost every country, it is time for all people everywhere to say "Kill the Bank before it Kills us All!"

Using the Federal Reserve Note as a measure of Anything, Anywhere, leaves too much power in the hands of those who can print more at there own caprice. The wonder is that they have any restraint at any level in this scam. Of course errant brothers-in-law come and go. Then there are the Greenspan types who are so "good" they can even lie to themselves and betray their own souls and consciences. You can buy a lot of talent with unlimited money. But Alan wouldn’t have had a prayer without a lot of expensive help. It takes larger and larger armies to steal and control larger and larger booties.

Once you have studied the issue for a short period of time, with access to some of the best historical documents and scholarship, you will come to realize how impossible it would be to gauge the magnitude of these financial crimes.

I will not quote an entire book to prove my thesis. But I will ask you to read an entire short book. This work was bequeathed to you by the man who founded the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He had held the office of Secretary of the Navy and penned this work in his 85th year — just six years before his death in 1891. Bancroft’s "A Plea for the Constitution of the United States — Wounded in the House of Its Guardians" was doubtless a reaction to what he saw as an egregious ruling of the Supreme Court that had been preceded by a great many errors and some very deliberate machinations to undermine lawful government by destroying every link between de facto government and the Constitutional imperatives related to preserving the integrity of our monetary system as well as the Constitution itself.

Would the United States Supreme Court Lie?

According to Bancroft:

The supreme court of the United States was endowed by our fathers with a peculiar tenure of office and high powers of jurisdiction, that it might be able to keep watch over the life and integrity of the constitution. On the third of March, 1884, without having listened to any public argument on the case which was made the occasion of its utterance, it pronounced before a crowd of listeners an opinion in these words: “The power to make the notes of the government a legal tender in payment of private debts being one of the powers belonging to sovereignty in other civilized nations, and not expressly withheld from congress by the constitution; we are irresistibly impelled to the conclusion that the impressing upon the treasury notes of the United States the quality of being a legal tender in payment of private debts is an appropriate means, conducive and plainly adapted to the execution of the undoubted powers of congress.”

In the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Mr. Langdon, a Delegate from New Hampshire, had said he would rather reject the entire new Constitution rather than retain the language that would have permitted emissions of paper money [called "bills of credit" in the original draft].

Even John Marshall, the chief judicial pioneer/heretic and proponent of judicial supremacy, could never stomach paper money according to Bancroft:

The inflexible adversary of paper money, detesting it with a hatred almost amounting to a passion, was the chief justice of the United States, John Marshall. While he was on the bench, no case could come before him, in which power was claimed for the United States to issue bills of credit; because at that day he and everybody else well understood and willingly acknowledged that the power to emit bills of credit was withheld from the United States, was forbidden by not being granted. But his opinion of the illegality of the issue of bills of credit by the states gave him the opportunity to declare in terms of universal application that the greatest violation of justice was committed when paper money was made a legal tender in payment of debts. But the opportunity to express his opinion, which was never offered to him as a judge, he found as a historian in his life of Washington. He claimed for himself and those with whom he acted, an “unabated zeal for the exact observance of public and private engagements.” He rightly insisted that the only ways of relief for pecuniary “distresses” were “industry and frugality"; he condemned “all the wild projects of the moment"; he rejected as a delusion every attempt at relief from pecuniary distresses “by the emission of paper money"; or by “a depreciated medium of commerce.” These were his opinions through life. He gave them to the public in 1807, and twenty-four years later in a revised edition of his Life of Washington he confirmed his early convictions by the authority of his maturest life.

Bancroft, quoting Thomas Paine:

“The laws of a country ought to be the standard of equity and calculated to impress on the minds of the people the moral as well as the legal obligations of political justice. But tender laws, of any kind, operate to destroy morality, and to dissolve by the pretense of law what ought to be the principle of law to support, reciprocal justice between man and man; and the punishment of a member who should move for such a law ought to be DEATH.”

Yes! Mr. Paine was saying anyone who introduced any legislative measure in favor of legal tender laws for fiat or paper money ought to have been hung by the neck until dead. I will say that you have no comprehension of the problem if you would tend to disagree.

My challenge to all who have any place left in their hearts or imaginations for fiat currency, fractional reserve, or the Federal Reserve System: Carefully study everything Bancroft said in his Plea, spend more time reading on the subject at Mises.org and LewRockwell.com As you read at Mises and Rockwell — please make sure you explore all their archives and links.

Finally, after you truly understand the issue, decide how much poison is too much. You will not have lawful government without lawful money: Gold and Silver ONLY.

Good money must have an intrinsic value. The United States of America cannot make its shadow legal tender for debts payable in money without ultimately bringing upon their foreign commerce and their home industry a catastrophe, which will be the more overwhelming the longer the day of wrath puts off its coming. Our federal constitution was designed to end forever the emission of bills of credit as legal tender in payment of debts, alike by the individual states and the United States; and it will have that effect, if it is rightly interpreted and firmly enforced. — George Bancroft [emphasis added]

Bancroft closes his Appendix with a quote from Thomas Jefferson:

“The federal government — I deny their power to make paper money a legal tender.”

America is a majority being ruled by a corrupt venal minority. We may have been taught that we are under a government "of the people, by the people, for the people." But our original Republican principles and laws are straining to keep us from careening toward the precipice of Absolute Democracy.

What happens when the Common Man meets Sam Adams?

If you were to Google "Sam Adams" you might get the impression that America is a little more interested in beer than liberty — at least by one level in the search results. The original Sam Adams was not a tea teetotaler. George Washington was a purveyor of fine rye whiskey. Yet, one came to be recognized as the Father of the American Revolution and the other the Father of his country. Neither was a common man per se. But both believed with every fiber of their being that the common man should live in freedom — enough to risk being hung by George III.

Sam Adams was the kind of person feared most by tyrants. He was the one, who, like the prophet Nathan, would speak the truth to power regardless of the consequences. He incessantly agitated for Revolution. Adams was also smart enough to avoid being murdered by the British before he could foment his Revolution — quite a feat when one considers that the enemy was everywhere around him [just like today] and looked almost exactly like him. Mainly, he was the type of writer and orator who could make the common man understand the "real deal." Obviously he was prone to self-replicate. George III may have been crazy but he had the prescience to know what one man like Adams might accomplish.

How does the Common Man get to know Sam?

Since my days in the Navy I have had scant experience with alcoholic beverages. I wouldn’t know one beer from another. Wine is still a mystery to me. I prefer grape juice so far. But I do know something about bottled water. There is an annual International Water Tasting in West Virginia, and I have been there to experience it and learn the differences between all kinds of water; bottled, foreign, natural spring water, municipal, sparkling, etc.

A water tasting is not unlike a wine tasting. Trained participants take a bite of a soda cracker between samples to reestablish a baseline taste in their mouths. Then they evaluate each one in a double-blind taste test, writing down their impressions. This is all quite serious and training is provided by Arthur von Wiesenberger, who is, perhaps, to the world of water, what Julia Child was to that of fine cuisine. A jury of 12 tasters is typical.

The differences between a heavily chlorinated municipal water and Perrier are not so subtle. But with a little training from Arthur, tasters quickly become adept at differentiating between very similar entries in each category. The soda crackers help immensely.

Any ordinary citizen can get to know Sam Adams in a hurry if he has a frame of reference that can be trusted — and he is given the necessary Media and Education. Right now he is getting a taste of tyranny and government corruption. He is being told that "the rules" he was playing by, are not only changed, they are now permanently in flux without Any accountability. The MSM and Academe are locking ranks to woo all of us back into complacency. But what have they to offer us now? The more they try to pretend and prop up this regime and its corrupt paradigm, the more ridiculous they make themselves. Send in the Clowns.

In times such as these, with the incestuous relationship between the Federal Reserve and the "government" hanging out all over the place, it would be far better for all of us to read Sam Adams and company than to listen to the Siren Song of Obama or his bankster handlers. To Sam, English Monarchy was the focus of tyranny, to Rothbard, it was the State: "…nothing more nor less than a bandit gang writ large."

Our soda cracker, our baseline, can be almost anything but the establishment media or government-controlled or funded education. In short, any medium that is entirely uncritical of corrupt government is of little use to anyone who loves liberty. So we all need exposure to Quality Alternative Information — Alternative Media — Alternative Education.

"The Politics of Obedience: The Discourse of Voluntary Servitude" by Étienne de La Boétie is also of great value as we continue to transform the common man into the not-so-common man. The edition linked above includes an excellent preface by Murray Rothbard.

We should get enough of a foundation in some of the previously mentioned sources so that you can refute any argument coming from Left, Right or Center. Then sample what’s out there and compare it to our own well-digested compendium of liberty. At first we will probably need to spend more time with the primary source documents of our original American political philosophy. But after we really get to know "Sam" — we become more and more dangerous to tyrants and sycophants of any kind — in any place or time. Remember, if what you are reading is not critical of the status quo you should be reading more of something else.

As I have said before, watch Ron Paul. He takes the argument away from his opponent and tries to direct the discourse to sound political doctrine — and especially sound economics and the Constitution. Obviously you can’t do this within the controlled Media. You must become as Guerilla-like as Ron Paul or Sam Adams. It’s quite interesting and entertaining. For instance, go into the grocery store, and, when you are ready to pay, ask the clerk if she takes "coupons." She will usually say, "Sure!" and ask you, "What kind do you have?" Then pull out some Federal Reserve Notes [commonly but erroneously called "dollars"] and offer them to her. Many times she will be too tired or bored to engage you. Occasionally you will stumble across a budding libertarian. "It only takes a spark to get a fire going." Think back to the seemingly insignificant events that added up to your own Epiphany.

We are not so used to gleaning from what we read as they were back in the 18th century. But consider well [chew thoroughly] the words of Sam Adams below in one of his most famous quotes:

If men, through fear, fraud or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of society would absolutely vacate such renunciation. The right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave. ~ Samuel Adams

The King, on realizing just how dangerous Sam Adams had become, assigned him the appellation: "The Grand Incendiary."

Sam also said:

It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.

Ron Paul relates so well to ordinary citizens because he honors and respects the common man as did the best and brightest among the Founders and Framers. He is disposed to explain and teach, and provide a consistent example. He is worthy of emulation. Join him in the Campaign for Liberty.

Historically, Liberty is The Road Less Taken:

The spirit of the times may alter, will alter. Our rulers will become corrupt, our people careless. A single zealot may commence persecutor, and better men be his victims. It can never be too often repeated that the time for fixing every essential right on a legal basis is while our rulers are honest and ourselves united. From the conclusion of [their] war [for independence, a nation begins] going down hill. It will not then be necessary to resort every moment to the people for support. They will be forgotten, therefore, and their rights disregarded. They will forget themselves but in the sole faculty of making money, and will never think of uniting to effect a due respect for their rights. The shackles, therefore, which shall not be knocked off at the conclusion of [that] war will remain on [them] long, will be made heavier and heavier, till [their] rights shall revive or expire in a convulsion. ~ Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.XVII, 1782. (*) ME 2:225

According to Jefferson and others, and consistent with his words above, it is clear that we have no choice but to learn how to educate the common man and equip his mind for liberty. He is becoming more aware of the abuse of power right now. It’s up to those of us who know something about liberty to offer him a timely taste of it.

Homework

Jefferson and Madison introduced a resolution at a meeting of the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia, to recommend a short list of works every American should study as "embodying" the core American principles:

Whereas it is the duty of this board to the government [of the United States] under which it lives, and especially to that [of Virginia] of which this University is the immediate creation, to pay especial attention to the principles of government which shall be inculcated therein, and to provide that none shall be inculcated which are incompatible with those on which the Constitutions of this State, and of the U.S. were genuinely based in the common opinion: and for this purpose it may be necessary to point out specifically where these principles are to be found legitimately developed . . .

The list:

1. "George Washington’s Farewell Address [which, alone, could have prevented most of the dialogue/diatribe about our present obsession with Iraq and delusions of empire];"
2. "The Federalist Papers [considered to be written at a reading level that surpasses our present-day u2018erudite' PhDs];"
3. "The Declaration of Independence;"
4. "The Virginia Resolutions of 1799 [one of two important documents protesting the first encroachments by the federal government on States' and citizens' rights];"
5. "Essay Concerning the True and Original Intent of Civil Government" by John Locke, and
6. "Discourses Concerning Civil Government" by Algernon Sydney [this writing was used as evidence against him for which he was ultimately beheaded].

You only give me your funny paper

Did the Beatles know something about Government Bailouts? Liberty? The Fed?

Is Helicopter Ben Bernanke "Fixing a Hole Where the Rain gets in…" or maybe feverishly drilling holes in the bottom of the boat to let the water out — more like the Three Stooges? Perhaps he should be "…taking [his] time for a number of things that weren’t important yesterday…" e.g. the Constitution.

We really don’t know what will happen when the American People comprehend the differences between "funny paper" and lawful money; between fiat currency with fractional reserve banking through the non-governmental [now almost supra-governmental] private banking cartel called the Federal Reserve and the Gold and Silver required by the Constitution. We don’t know how it will affect them to know they were drawn into a huge scam to swindle their own children and grandchildren. They still seem to respond to the "it’s for the children" mantra — but only in a visceral and sort of anti-cerebral way. This can be quite easily verified in any man-on-the-street interview scenario. The American People have been a benighted people. But there are signs; encouraging signs, that they are beginning to awaken. The Ron Paul Revolution is one tremendous and surprising example. We don’t have any idea how far it will go. But we must keep making every effort to rebuild the Republic and the restore the Rule of Law — wherever and whenever we can. Many of us have been looking for an opening for decades.

The evils of this deluge of paper money are not to be removed until our citizens are generally and radically instructed in their cause and consequences, and silence by their authority the interested clamors and sophistry of speculating, shaving, and banking institutions. Till then, we must be content to return quoad hoc to the savage state, to recur to barter in the exchange of our property for want of a stable common measure of value, that now in use being less fixed than the beads and wampum of the Indian, and to deliver up our citizens, their property and their labor, passive victims to the swindling tricks of bankers and mountebankers [apparently a Jefferson-coined composite of "mountebank" and "bankers" — it works for me].

What did the Beatles know about Liberty?

Many of my readers will remember and appreciate their hit Taxman. It seemed they were being plagued by a ridiculous level of taxation in Great Britain at the time: "Should 5% appear too small… be thankful I don’t take it all." That lyric portrays an aristocratic attitude not unlike what is being shoved down our throats here in the States under the current reign of a duopoly posing as a two-party system. Later they penned "Her Majesty’s a pretty nice girl — but she doesn’t have a lot to say." The current Bailout Reaction is a good sign. As I have been asking folks what they think of the Bailout, I have been getting some encouraging feedback. They don’t seem to appreciate wealth redistribution on this scale — especially since most of them know the Congress has disregarded the voice of the People and the Rule of Law. They also seem to know this is a gross Constitutional violation — and part of "a long train of abuses and usurpations."

The Beatles’ words and music have changed the world. I hope that most of us who were influenced by it; who are still singing and humming it, will take the most positive elements from it and mix them with our highest aspirations. Of course they haven’t led perfect lives — and I am not here to Canonize them. I just want point out how some of their instincts about liberty might be valuable to any generation. I’d like to think all of my readers would be grinding their own prism for seeing the potential to interpret any situation in terms of how it relates to human liberty. After all, the Beatles came up at a time when authoritarian government was seeking to impose its arbitrary will on an unwitting people. Has that changed? When Jefferson spoke of a revolution every twenty years he wasn’t talking about exchanging pleasantries with receptive representatives who cherish the Rule of Law and the Constitution. Fighting for liberty is an all the time everywhere vocation.

As far as I can tell Arizona Libertarian Ernest Hancock was the person responsible for donating the popular Ron Paul Revolution Logo which has a backward "L" in superimposed word "Love." I discovered the backward "L" is also used the Cirque du Soleil Beatles Revolution Lounge housed in the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas. A lasting Revolution must have a heart, a soul and a mind, and, of course, we also need some slogans or maxims, jingles, songs and lasting symbolism. But all must have the goal of pointing the Revolution toward a solid foundation. The RP Revolution has been remarkable in this respect. Like Ron Paul, we strive to point fellow citizens back to Rule of Law and the Constitution.

We move through symbolism toward substance while the two major parties and the MSM move in the opposite direction. While there is some truth in the Braveheart line, "History is written by those who have hanged heroes," it is also true that tyrants don’t always carry the day — and conscientious historical inquiry often unravels their grandest conspiratorial artifices. The works of Professor Thomas DiLorenzo, exposing the truth about Lincoln, and now Hamilton, are most important recent examples.

The Beatles’ music is full of references and innuendos that could be considered libertarian or liberty-minded. Some of the messages are clearly related to personal and human liberty, and some of course, are related to all sorts of other concepts and often quite in the abstract. I am not merely trying to make sense from nonsense. I never could really figure out "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." But, as Lawrence Welk would say, "it was real-a toe tapper-a!" So many of the melodies are almost addictive — and harmonic structure often surprisingly advanced — especially for the pop genre. The number of recordings of Beatles’ tunes by other artists the world over is proof enough that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

They were "pro-love," "pro-peace" and "anti-war" before it was popular. One central theme of the generation they helped shape is the notion that the element of "coercion" needs to be avoided at all cost. At the extreme swing of the pendulum there may sometimes be a lack of self-discipline — call it anarchy if you like — but without a socialist safety net it will quickly correct to free market solutions. In any case anarchy is preferable to totalitarianism. A Classical Libertarian view must always rule out the use of force in the coercion of citizens under any form of collectivism or totalitarianism. Liberty is freedom from all unjust uses of force or coercion — and that necessarily means almost all uses of force and coercion. The only righteous use of force is for self-defense or exclusively defensive war. Know your Spooner. Know your Bastiat. All associations must be natural and voluntary.

Primum non nocere [first do no harm].

This reminds me of another lyric [out of context] that could be adapted as a maxim of lawful government: "Oh Darling, Believe Me! I’ll never do you no harm!" Historically speaking, only a truly free government could make such a claim. And this claim would be made a mockery in any government that would steal from one citizen to benefit another citizen or entity who has not earned it. The Latin above is a maxim of the medical profession [or used to be]. But it would serve Any profession well. Remember, governments often kill even more people than doctors do.

We have just received a Trillion Dollar Wake-up Call: the "Government" is quite willing to harm or destroy all of us for its own agenda — and Notwithstanding the Constitution.

Further along in the "You Never Give Me Your Money" lyrics we read, "Out of college, money spent, See no future, pay no rent, All the money’s gone, nowhere to go," which makes me think of the millions of young people in America who are now strapped with paying back oversold college loans. Now we find that many of the trades are going to be where it’s at for the foreseeable future. Perhaps they could have been trained in less than half the time to provide something the market was ready to buy. Funny paper yields fake results. Ethnomusicology is really quite interesting — but a Ph.D. in that field may more likely find himself saying "Do you want fries with that?" than working in his esoteric specialty.

I recently met a New Yawk attorney who tows cars and does plumbing instead of practicing law. Those who want to succeed in hard times must have something, or be able to do something, for someone who has items of true value to trade — and who elects to do so in a free market. Even the Soviet Union was not able to eliminate the black market — which is sometimes the only real market. I am told you will be laughed out of the room in Israel if you are naïve enough to believe you can survive without using the "gray" market. If you want to have some fun right now, try to buy some American Silver Eagle Troy Ounces at the artificially suppressed "fixed" price. The shelves are bare — unless you want to pay a significant premium. Check the silver prices on eBay for deals that are actually closing — not in places that have zero inventory. The gold situation is the same. I called about American Gold Eagle Troy ounces and I got a quote for $1550.00 each — with the so-called spot price ranging around $725.00 per troy ounce. Private dealers are saying "this is the price if you want them now." Larger public dealers are saying, "If you want to give us your u2018money’ we will hold it until sometime in November against a spot price plus commission deal. Then if we can’t fill the order we will return your funds."

Let’s look at the gorgeous "Golden Slumbers" medley and see what we can glean:

Without an understanding of our Foundation, the Constitution and the written laws made in pursuance thereof, we are like a ship adrift, and without a rudder, "tossed about by every wind of doctrine…" We lack direction and could easily end in tyranny or chaos. There was tremendous organization and peripatetic pedagogy of the philosophy of liberty in the period leading up to our Revolution. Liberty was well understood and well taught. It was Constantly and Comprehensively taught. Literacy was extremely high. Consider that the "Federalist Papers" were written to be understood by the majority of newspaper readers of the day. There is no way back without improved education in the principles of Liberty. There is a way back to liberty. It is a simple matter of reverse engineering — and it is well under way!

"Boy, you’re gonna carry that weight a long time…"

"If it’s to be it’s up to me," is more than just a positive affirmation by Robert Schuller. If you are not willing to carry you own weight You will be the big ultimate loser. Throwing your needs and desires off on someone else — especially on a big Nanny-State Government will have its consequences. Every child wants to run back to their parents and say, "Look, Mom and Dad, I did it all by myself." But the government is not qualified to be a surrogate parent any more than the Army is a humanitarian organization. Just look at the child support services nightmare — or any State MVA if you like. The cause of liberty needs the best efforts and perseverance of every last precious one of you!

Love, Liberty, and True Charity are all analogous. When they are practiced with perfection the resulting outcomes are righteous. They are always opposed to Hate, Tyranny and Greed. So, each of us is free to build a very lovely place in our own minds, something like a garden [not, perhaps, an "Octopus's Garden"]. But even in the Octopus’s Garden the Beatles sound libertarian: "We will be so happy you and me… no one there to tell us what to do…"

Let’s talk about the Ron Paul Revolution and the Campaign for Liberty and how the Beatles "Revolution" lyrics resonate together.

"You say you want a revolution…Well, you know…We all want to change the world."

In a natural law universe everyone wants freedom and liberty for themselves. This is axiomatic. But if you don’t understand the Golden Rule or Cause and Effect, you may have been brainwashed into an unnatural paradigm. It may take a while in some instances, but what goes around will come around. The quicker you grasp the Golden Rule’s universality the better use you will be able to make of it. Applied to foreign relations it is the doctrine of Washington and Jefferson. Too bad the Bushies have never been disposed to "Give Peace a Chance." In Revolution we learn that the Beatles are anti-violence and also anti-communist: "If you’re talkin’ about destruction don’t you know that you can count me out….If you are carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain’t gonna make it with anyone anyhow!" Later, there may be an anti-socialism allusion in the words, "You ask me for a contribution, well, you know, we’re all doin’ what we can." This is followed by "But when you want money for people with minds that hate, All I can tell is brother you have to wait…" — an anti-hate message?

John loses many of us later on in "Imagine" where he says, "Imagine… nothing to kill or die for…" But perhaps he is trying to say the State is a shabby cause — and that we should have higher causes and principals. Obviously the central theme of "Imagine" is universal peace, love and non-coercion. Where many of us go astray is to be lured into the illusion that the State can be trusted to fix all [or any] of our problems. When it tries, it always exacts a price too heavy for anyone to pay. The song has been offensive to many because it says, "Imagine there’s no heaven… no religion… no Hell," etc. — which I take as John’s way of saying, "while we’re all here together, we need to do whatever it takes to get along." While many have taken umbrage at some of their statements that could be best considered to be excoriating organized religion, I think perhaps some of the reactions over the years have been out of proportion. According to market information some of the same people that burned their albums must have purchased replacements or upgraded to CDs and mp3s by now. Which is too bad, since it’s harder to play them backwards. Remember… this is not a treatise on Beatle Metaphysics or recreational drug use.

…but only if you really want lasting prosperity, peace, justice, and Liberty.

We are bleeding fiat money!

Realize they looted most of the Silver and Gold Decades ago.

We must rid ourselves of unlawful wars, government cheese, and bailouts for corporations by fascists. And don’t forget to Abolish the Federal Reserve Banking System.

The elimination of the four hemorrhages above will stop most of our bleeding. None of them were remotely considered as lawful by the Founders and Framers [except perhaps Hamilton and Marshall — one was finally shot and the other should have been]. None of the four are compatible with Life, Liberty, or Private Property. Any of them are poisons enough by themselves. But combined they form a venomous cocktail that could murder our Constitutional Republic.

We can no more afford these "luxuries" than the salaries we have been paying Congress to betray our country. This congress has been playing by its own rules — unimpeded by such trifles as honor or basic human decency. To them an Oath is a mere formality on their way to the getaway limo. Each voter is just another Mark to be played. Innocent people die every day because of the impotence and willful negligence of this congress.

Now American families are being "asked," preemptively, to tighten their belts so our fearless leaders in D.C. and their friends in New York can maintain the same profligate spending habits — and the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed — along with annual cost of living increases plus interest and dividends with their respective versions of the Golden Parachute.

On Main Street most of us are being forced to take stock and consider which things are necessities and which are luxuries — what must remain — and what has to go. We are expected to make all the real spending cuts. How can we squeeze enough out of our budgets to survive and wait for the next onslaught from an overbearing and obsolete Big Government? We are working harder and harder just "to put food on our families." "That’s Uniquely American" alright!

Better hurry before the People wake up.

Government and its cronies are being forced once again to consider their main obstacle, the age-old conundrum of tyrants: Where is the real tolerance level of the People? How much more abuse are they willing to endure at the hands of their own government? How fast can you boil a frog?

"…mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security…" — The Declaration of Independence

What was the total tax burden under George III?

Ben Franklin spoke about a 10% cap on all taxation as something the people would never tolerate: "It would be thought a hard Government that should tax its People one tenth Part of their Time, to be employed in its Service."

Shall we tolerate a government that exacts 50%? 75%? 110%?

It is so good to read the Declaration again periodically — in order to get our heads straight about the proper functions of Lawful Government. While almost no one can read it without being inspired, it is a fairly straightforward document. The King George III certainly got the message. It doesn’t take long to read the Declaration all the way through. Please take some time and read the whole thing again soon. The Constitution doesn’t take much more time to read. But it is amazing how so many talk about it without having read the whole thing even once. Some even take an Oath to it without reading or understanding it. Some see it merely as a point of departure.

America will soar to new heights without the ballast of Big Government.

The free trade with all nations and political alliances with none philosophy spoken of so eloquently by Jefferson and Washington, if consistently and faithfully applied, will engender global trade and prosperity such as we have never known, and all through the voluntary participation of nations and citizens. If other nations and peoples did not have to fear our military, our banksters, or our fascist corporatists, truly free enterprise could spring up from anywhere at any time. Creativity and resourcefulness are stifled whenever corporations and governments combine to siphon off all real wealth from the true producers of goods, services and even intellectual property. The free market will triumph mainly because some element of it is necessary for any real productivity or prosperity to occur. We cannot tax and spend ourselves into Utopia.

Your Enemy is the State with its Corporations.

Have you ever stopped to consider the volumes of wisdom in the motto for LewRockwell.com: "anti-state, anti-war, pro-market?" If you don’t already understand how profound this combination is, spend a little time reading through the volumes of information available there and of course at the Ludwig Von Mises website. These sites do not need to be vindicated in the traditional sense, although we might be tempted to say they are being vindicated in Spades right now. They continue to exist and thrive because they are repositories of substantive thought and exhaustive truth. At Lexrex.com we try to point toward lawful solutions to American problems in a comprehensive context of the relevant historical documents, e.g. Bancroft’s Essay: "A Plea for the Constitution — Wounded in the House of Its Guardians." Our motto is "Rescuing the Republic, one Heart and one Mind at a time." Nothing we do is rocket science. We just bet on the Founders and Framers and other exponents of classical libertarian ideals — and against those who despise them. There is no contest between the current "government" and the Founders’ and Framers’ wisdom, or the Austrian School of Economics. To read them enough is to know. The Enemy will have short-term gains and predictable losses. But their gains based on theft and sloth will not last.

There was no original Preemptive War Budget in the Constitution. The "duties imposts and excises" it was collecting were deliberately based on activities that could be avoided by yer average Joe Sixpack eh [Palinese Dialect]? If government shrunk slightly during that period it was nothing to be upset about. It was understood that there would be more liberty when there was less government. No one ever dreamt that government would grow to be larger than private industry at some point. But they all knew it would cease to be a free government before it reached that point. You can’t have free agriculture if you have more people in the Department of Agriculture than out in the field.

And where is the Constitutional authorization for a Department of Agriculture?

Once we get out of the Warfare Business it will be easier to get out of the Welfare Business. War wastes the resources of the world in ways that cannot be recovered. Anyone who doesn’t understand this should read Bastiat’s Broken Window — until they thoroughly get it.

The Warfare State thrives on the false notion that war creates prosperity in the long run — at least for the winners. The immediate losers are not under the same delusion. The real truth is that both sides are big losers in war and the whole world pays a price for years and years. Amazingly, the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan have been sold on the basis of the oxymoronic delusion that you can force free government on an unwilling people as the same government erodes our liberties at home.

Apparently big government sees Joe Sixpack in a different light than the Founders and Framers did. To big government Joe Sixpack is really just part of a herd to be nurtured only as necessary and then harvested just like any other crop. Without big government, we will have the resources to rebuild our communities and sufficient cash to help those near us who are truly in need.

Socialists desire to practice legal plunder, not illegal plunder. Socialists, like all other monopolists, desire to make the law their own weapon. And when once the law is on the side of socialism, how can it be used against socialism? For when plunder is abetted by the law, it does not fear your courts, your gendarmes, and your prisons. Rather, it may call upon them for help.

The Welfare State thrives from two main impulses. Both of these are morally bankrupt. Bastiat called them "stupid greed and false philanthropy." It’s hard to tell which Party represents which impulse more than the other at this point. Social Security was an easy sell for the first few "customers" who paid in for a couple of months and then received more than 900 times "return on investment."

Wall Street is nothing more that a clique that wars against property and industry by offering the illusion of easy money. It’s a giant Casino — and the odds are always with the house. The main corrupting factor is fiat money and fractional reserve banking. The "solution," "this week," is to put $700,000,000,000 of your children’s heritage on the line and roll the dice one more time.

If this economic wake-up call means we all get a handle on the fact the US cannot police or dominate the rest of the world it may well be worth the price. If it bankrupts the War Party it can’t be all bad. And if the Welfare State implodes perhaps we will be ready to rebuild on a more solid foundation.

I was working on an outline for an article about Constitutional "Negatives." Then came the Bailout/Rescue/Super Scam. Not the least of the violations of Constitutional authority is the way in which they have juggled this Monster back and forth — and now plan to sell it to the People — After the Fact — between pharmaceutical commercials. They have violated their Oaths to the Constitution — Again and Again! Volumes could be written on the violations of the past couple of weeks. This offence should be investigated as an Aggravated Assault!

A minor detail?

"All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives…" — Article I, Section 1, Clause 1. — Not in the White House, Not in the Senate, Not in the Treasury Department, Not in a back room on Wall Street, and Not at the Federal Reserve. They couldn’t stick enough Pork on this Baby in the first House edition. So they rolled it around the Senate and the White House to get some Fat for everyone. There are a lot of hungry pockets to be fed in Washington alone. And it’s so fat now they didn’t even need to read it.

Why do you suppose the Constitution requires All Revenue Bills to originate in the House? Could it be because all spending measures should be controlled by the Body of Representatives closest to the People as another Negative on big, bigger, biggest government? These are the guys you can vote out every two years. But they have no fear of that. They have passed the buck [or what is left of it] to the Senate and the President — so they can ram this Liberty-Killing Legislation down the throats of the People.

Do you enjoy being the object of condescension and ridicule by the same arrogant aristocratic criminals who are duty bound to be your servants under the Constitution?

Don’t plan on the Supreme Court negating any of the damage either. They are kept safe by the criminals in the House who are afraid to Impeach and Remove Anything. If we were still a nation of law Any individual citizen would be able to destroy these measures through recourse to judicial remedy. All of these plans violate the principle of equal protection under the law. In fact, every socialistic element that now contaminates our government would fall on the same sharp sword. But the judiciary is probably the most corrupt Branch.

Checks and Balances

Our checks are no longer working and our balances are all overdrawn. The Constitution is no more powerful than any other law unless the People have the political Will to enforce it. We have an Enforcement Problem. Change the written laws however you wish and you are still left with an enforcement problem.

The Power of Negative Thinking

Our constitutional system works on checks and balances. The "checks" take the form of "negatives" to thwart the lawless behavior of the coordinate branches whenever they are poised to trample rights or violate their Oaths. Lately they are poised most of the time.

The President has a Veto power to curb Congressional outlaws. Once a Bill is Vetoed by the President the Congress is required to overrule the president by a two thirds majority if it is still bound and determined to pass the proposed [usually criminal] measure. But when this occurs the votes are required to be entered in their respective journals. In this present case they should all get Scarlet Letters to wear on their foreheads.

The Executive can still refuse to enforce a law after it is passed. And the other branches can jump up and down and holler — or the House can Impeach him. A president with a spine and some ethics could stand for the rights of the People or his Oath to the Constitution and risk Impeachment to prove his point. This has happened very rarely.

The Supreme Court can order the Executive to perform according to their view of a law — and the Executive can tell the Court to go blow its nose. We have seen some evidence of this principal in the abuse of executive privilege recently when it has mostly been used to flaunt the law or cover up unlawful or unethical activities in the executive branch.

No, we haven’t been operating this way for a long, long time, for those of you who think I am delusional. I am speaking is terms of "oughtness."

The Judges also take an Oath to the Constitution.

The "negative" that the courts are failing to exercise as they should, in many cases, is their authority to negate the damage that bad laws can do to individuals in terms of protecting life and property [the only lawful function of government]. This problem is also compounded by the fact that it takes fortune to get something in front of the Supremes — IF they want to hear it. The lower courts can do all sorts of interesting things to keep matters from rising to the Supreme Court — even when they know the Supreme Court has ruled on an almost identical case long ago. This is a convenient state of affairs for the tyrants. In lower courts the judges have taken to acting as co-prosecutors.

The Pettit Jury and Grand Jury both have the same sort of negative principle of operation whenever they refuse to convict a citizen based on whatsoever they determine including judging both the law and the facts. The Grand Jury is bound Not to indict on insufficient evidence. The Pettit Jury has had a recognized right and obligation, since the Trial of William Penn, to prevent the action of bad law in order to protect the rights of the People against tyranny in the courts. Judges lie all day long about this in almost every court in the country. Note: In the account of William Penn’s Trial at the U.S. Courts’ website, the narrator cannot apparently bring himself [possibly "themselves" — it looks like the work of a committee] to state unambiguously that the jury is judge of both the Facts And the Law. The last segment provided by the narrator falls far short of exposing the whole truth. In Maryland our wonderful judges still lie about this principle even though it is clearly memorialized in the State Constitution at Article 23: "In the trial of all criminal cases, the Jury shall be the Judges of Law, as well as of fact, except that the Court may pass upon the sufficiency of the evidence to sustain a conviction." Don’t be confused about that last part. It is talking about another safety valve allowing the court to Acquit based on faulty evidence.

All of these negatives are designed to protect the rights of citizens even to a minority of One. Not to be negative… but All of these mechanisms are broken — or else they are being cleverly and deceptively blunted in ways that erode and destroy life, liberty and private property. Ignorant and free can never be.

The three branches are mostly populated by Felons who are Colluding to commit crimes that will go down in Infamy. The Murders of our troops in unlawful military actions may be only the beginning.

There is one more Negative that We The People must exercise…

Remember… Remember… Vote Them Out In November!

If the Congress and the Executive can get away with this, perhaps the largest financial crime in recent history, the People will have to bear a large share of the blame. Part of the Pork will be used to promote your continued acquiescence. Don’t fall for it. The perpetrators really don’t think there is any of the original American Spirit left in you. They have taken you for granted once again — and they do not expect to pay a price.

You the People will send a message in November one way or another.

Either you want to be abused and taken for granted or you have finally had enough. It is not sufficient to light up switchboards and clog emails. You must start firing your incompetent and unresponsive government servants. It is time to shake up the Congress and get rid of almost every Representative and the Third of the Senate that we can retire at this time.

Perhaps Ron Paul should be the last man standing. He told us all so! He told all of them so throughout his whole congressional career — and especially during this campaign season. A career of honesty has produced a Prophet.

I see no reason for us not to repeat this exercise every two years. If the threat looms I think perhaps we will start to see some reasonable semblance of limited, lawful government. In four more years we can be rid of every present Senator.

How long do you want to be taken for granted?

Can you remember something this obscene for just one more month?

If we miss this opportunity I don’t know if our voices will ever be heard by government again.

So far, Hegel seems to be right. Cycles come and cycles go — especially in terms of economics and liberty. Those who observe and remember, can discover, analyze, and predict the next cycle while the majority of the people remain in the dark, repeatedly surprised by avoidable calamities.

Jefferson killed a bank. Jackson killed a bank. Now it’s our responsibility to untold generations to stand up and throw off the shackles of yet another criminal syndicate with the respectable sounding name: "Federal Reserve Bank."

A BANK of the United States is in many respects convenient for the Government and useful to the people. Entertaining this opinion, and deeply impressed with the belief that some of the powers and privileges possessed by the existing Bank are unauthorized by the Constitution, subversive of the rights of the States, and dangerous to the liberties of the people, I felt it my duty, at an early period of my administration, to call the attention of Congress to the practicability of organizing an institution combining all its advantages, and obviating these objections. I sincerely regret that, in the act before me, I can perceive none of those modifications of the Bank charter which are necessary, in my opinion, to make it compatible with justice, with sound policy, or with the Constitution of our country.

Make no mistake. If the bank Jackson killed was not compatible with "justice, with sound policy, or with the Constitution of our country," we can be sure the Monster that returned in 1913 was much better prepared to entrench itself and eventually swallow every last vestige of liberty.

Jackson’s words later in the same document read as though they could have been on the table while the conspirators were drafting the plan to sponsor the Federal Reserve Act:

Is there no danger to our liberty and independence in a Bank that in its nature has so little to bind it to our country? The president of the Bank has told us that most of the State banks exist by its forbearance. Should its influence become concentered, as it may under the operation of such an act as this, in the hands of a self-elected directory, whose interests are identified with those of the foreign stockholders, will there not be cause to tremble for the purity of our elections in peace, and for the independence of our country in war. Their power would be great whenever they might choose to exert it; but if this monopoly were regularly renewed every fifteen or twenty years, on terms proposed by themselves, they might seldom in peace put forth their strength to influence elections or control the affairs of the nation. But if any private citizen or public functionary should interpose to curtail its powers, or prevent a renewal of its privileges, it cannot be doubted that he would be made to feel its influence.

So, it is obvious, that, in almost every respect the Federal Reserve was an "improved" version of the earlier attempts to place total economic control in the hands of a very small and inherently unaccountable cabal. And the entire program can be said to have been sold as a "Bailout" by government.

Later we read about how much confidence Mr. Jackson would place in the Supreme Court to settle the matter:

It is maintained by the advocates of the Bank, that its constitutionality, in all its features, ought to be considered as settled by precedent, and by the decision of the Supreme Court. To this conclusion I cannot assent. Mere precedent is a dangerous source of authority, and should not be regarded as deciding questions of constitutional power, except where the acquiescence of the people and the States can be considered as well settled.

Will the People get Depressed or Mad as Hell this time around?

What happens to the power of the State when the People increase their knowledge and competence of monetary science and the rule of law? Everyone knows the cliché "follow the money trail." But with just a little more education we can all display a level of prophetic genius with regard to economic affairs and the power of the State which are always intertwined. Without the proper knowledge set we will not be sufficiently armed or motivated, nor will be willing to bear the burdens and hardships of the long hard road back to Liberty with Responsibility.

Whenever the power of the State increases, our economic autonomy and liberty must decrease. Given enough power, the State will eventually devour all resources and crush all means of production. The all-powerful State is insatiable because it combines all the hubris and criminality of all its operatives, dupes and parasites. It is the antithesis of creativity and productivity.

I am reminded of a favorite Jefferson quote as it is related by Hamilton Abert Long in "The American Ideal" — a text we provide free at LEXREX.com

With money we will get men, said Caesar, and with men we will get money. Nor should our assembly [the Virginia Legislature] be deluded by the integrity of their own purposes, and conclude that these unlimited powers will never be abused, because themselves are not disposed to abuse them. They should look forward to a time, and that not a distant one, when a corruption in this, as in the country from which we derive our origin [Great Britain], will have seized the heads of government, and be the voices of the people, and make them pay the price. Human nature is the same on every side of the Atlantic, and will be alike influenced by the same causes. The time to guard against corruption and tyranny, is before they shall have gotten hold on us. It is better to keep the wolf out of the fold, than to trust to drawing his teeth and talons after he shall have entered.

The wolves have already gathered to feast on the corpse of a dying Republic. It is our task now to pull out their teeth and talons. This means, among other things, that the Federal Reserve Banking System must be abolished along with every vestige of Corporate Fascism. The separation of bank and state is what must occur if we are to gain from the most recent upheavals. It would appear that more than enough suffering is imminent to make this point valid to the public. Perhaps this time it will be sufficiently engraved on our consciousness. But we need to keep focusing on the primary cause of the problem. Sadly, the Media, the "government" and the "experts" are constantly mistaking effects for causes either inadvertently or deliberately. During each crisis we need to step up our efforts to teach the liberty principles to others.

A tax by any other name

INFLATION is not something the Fed was created to combat. Inflation is what the Fed Does! And the more the Fed inflates the so-called money supply the closer we are to national financial ruin. Ron Paul has accurately characterized this as the Inflation Tax. Interestingly, the Wikipedia entry for "Inflation Tax" says it is "not a rigorous economic concept." Is Alan Greenspan writing for Wikipedia?

As Liberty and the comprehensive knowledge of classical libertarian ideals increases around the world it is natural for the State to lose its grip — to atrophy. One or the other must prevail. The Ron Paul Revolution is just our local name for the transition that is under way.

The rest of the world is watching our financial debacle right now — and someone is learning from it you can be sure. Do you think the Russians and the Chinese are completely ignorant regarding how the US is ignoring its own principles, laws, and Constitution in a Naked attempt to consolidate a Global Fascist Hegemony? They can read our Constitution; compare it to our behavior, and realize the world can only become less safe and less secure if we continue to abandon our first principles. No clairvoyance is required to recognize the fact that someone must do something — sooner or later — to curb the trend toward global domination.

For those who have slept through the Ron Paul campaign — the Federal Reserve Bank is not even part of the government of the United States and certainly has no lawful right to go on a buying spree with taxpayer funds on behalf of the government or the People. The recent bailouts of major corporate entities are without precedent and without lawful authority altogether. They constitute retroactive extortion.

As the control of the modern State on the minds of men becomes more and more tenuous we can expect desperate measures from those who are desperate to maintain control. If they lose our minds they must try to use our bodies to regain control. They have tipped their hand more frequently in recent years in regard to the fact that they will continually try to use fear to make us give up our liberty for security. But the State is nothing more than a combination of mere men with a few vicious women thrown in to enhance the Velvet Glove effect. It is a Fiction attempting to be a Non-fiction.

Whether mankind is capable of taking the next "small" step in the right direction remains to be seen. We have all of the necessary data. The contest is now an information race. There is next to nothing that government can do better than some other entity or combination. That is, nothing that needs to be done. We don’t need to be dominated, controlled surveilled or micro-managed. We need only Liberty From the State. The State is not the source of Liberty.

Good government is the absence, not the presence of certain things. This principle rules out any usefulness for the present versions of our major two political parties. They are both married to the all-powerful State and its Unlawful Banking system. This makes them the enemies of liberty.

Let me simplify: Obama, Hillary and McCain are with Party #1 above and Ron Paul is with Party #2. The Parties called Republicans and Democrats are no longer significant. There is no differentiation between them when it comes to defending your original liberties. Both major parties are corrupted beyond redemption. Their rhetoric and their substance are at odds. The Founders warned us against forming them in the first place — and all of the worst consequences they predicted are coming upon us. There are almost as few allies of Ron Paul in the Congress as there are those who have any regard for the Constitution at all. A government that ignores the supreme Law of the land at its caprice is so far beyond being aristocratic. It is despotic, tyrannical and dangerous.

Please ask yourself: If Hillary, Obama and McCain do not trust me — why should I trust them? It really is that simple. The fact that they ignore the Constitution proves they trust themselves to rule over you arbitrarily.

History has been loudly answering Jefferson’s question! Are we listening?

The two camps that exist within all political structures at all times and in all places are those who support government Over man — and those who support government Under man. To the former camp man is the tool of government. To the latter, government is the tool of man. All governments begin as tools of the man or class of men who design them. And so far, all free governments have later been perverted to the extent that individual liberty founded in the protection of life and property is limited, eroded or eradicated completely. The two currents of liberty and tyranny run against each other all of the time.

The Fear of Government Over Man is a principle that we ignore at our extreme peril. If you can observe the latest election cycle [which is more obscene than mud wrestling] and not conclude that we have trusted too much to "government" I will realize you have been "educated" but I will not condemn you. I do however have a few things I would love to have you read — and think about very carefully — as though your life depended upon it.

As soon as a government servant has made a decision based on party association, affinity, or loyalty, and in violation of his oath and ethics — he has in effect sold out. This experience usually happens very early in his party career — unless he is Ron Paul. Once you have sold out in the little things it becomes easier to move on to the big things. But if you happen to be a Ron Paul you tend to gain a reputation for being one of those recalcitrant people of true and enduring principles. Those folks can really annoy the establishment who regards them as hopelessly naïve — right up until the bottom falls out.

By 1824, Jefferson knew even more about human nature than when, at the tender age of 33, he penned the Declaration of Independence. Therefore, let’s assume we can find pearls scattered throughout his voluminous and thoughtful letters to patriot friends of many years. The better we know it the more we may want to be heirs of his legacy. Jefferson had an ability to cut through labels and rhetoric and isolate clear principles — as did many of his generation. Now we witness Ron Paul constantly referring back to the principles of the Founding generation as the other candidates carefully avoid all accurate references to what the Founders believed in its full context. It’s not that the other Party Animals have no choice. But they long ago have decided that lawful government is not as profitable for them in their clubs, cliques and cabals. In a sense we all need to remain Washington Outsiders as much as possible.

Take a look at our modern American institutions and principal players. I like to call them "the powers that think they be." Their power comes only from our perception that we "need" them for this or that. Most of them produce nothing of lasting value — and they have nothing they could exchange in a transparent economy in order to subsist. They are parasites. They need to be rehabilitated. Their existence is always tenuous because sooner or later one or both of two things must happen: Either the "had" fully realize they are being had and refuse to continue their indentured service, or the resources available completely dry up because of the inherent waste in their political spoils system. They can only thrive on live victims that produce real wealth. These folks are no more fit to lead than the head lemming at the edge of the precipice.

Jefferson was not delusional. He and Madison, as well as most of the other Founders and Framers well understood that Liberty and ignorance are incompatible. No matter how hard we want to believe we can all be "Party Animals" in the colloquial sense we cannot make it true. The harder we try, the more we will make fools of ourselves.

More Education = More Liberty!

Here is a categorical challenge: If you read enough Jefferson you will not be fooled by empty rhetoric and you will not be able to vote for anyone but Ron Paul come next November. The same will be true if you carefully read and study Ron Paul’s new book: The Revolution: A Manifesto. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and thought I was getting to know Ron better as I read. I also recommend it for almost all ages. Having been associated with homeschoolers for a long time I tend to trust them as well — and I have been gratified to know so many of them read and think at advanced levels. No homeschool should be without this great little book.

In the beginning of this Republic of laws and not of men, the person with the second highest number of votes became vice president notwithstanding party affiliation. Isn’t that interesting? Are you beginning to see the wisdom in it, given the destruction that is being wrought by what they like to call partisan politics nowadays? The old cliché "there’s not a dime’s worth of difference," should be modified to "there’s not a fiat dime’s worth of difference."

One good thing: there are very few intelligent Americans remaining who cannot perceive and document the collusion between our Tweedledums and Tweedledees:

In Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking-Glass and what Alice Found There, "Tweedledum and Tweedledee … agree to have a battle, but never have one… The Tweedle brothers never contradict each other, even when one of them, according to the rhyme, u2018agrees to have a battle.’ Rather, they complement each other’s words." ~ Wikipedia

There is one bright light in Washington, and he is of the latter party mentioned by Jefferson above. Ron Paul identifies himself with the people, has confidence in them, cherishes and considers them as the most honest, safe, and [with the proper Education] the most wise depositary of the public interests. He truly believes Education can eventually bridge the gap and America can regain her conscience not through reinventing but through reviving herself. In fact, even Ron has been surprised again and again at the way our young people are flocking to his message. Perhaps the next generation is more mathematically gifted? More ethical?

According to the law of non-contradiction only one of these statements can be true:

1) Mankind is not fit, and cannot be made fit, for self-government. He must be controlled by some type of ruler or ruling class that knows what is best. No matter how much education or conditioning is applied to the human race it cannot be elevated from a state of anarchy or chaos without the dominance and guidance of a superior class or person.

2) Mankind is fully capable of self-government, if, and when, we have been given all of the best tools and all of the most accurate information — especially including the Principles of Liberty as they were handed down after being purchased by the sacrifices of many centuries. And those who would control and abuse their fellow man must always try to hide these principles from the common man.

I may not be first, but I predict Ron Paul’s new book The Revolution: A Manifesto will be a runaway best seller. A frightening thing for the other candidates: they haven’t done their homework. They will have nothing to offer at examination time when the American People ask: "What have You written lately — and how does it relate to restoring and protecting our Original Liberties and God-Given Rights?" They can cram if they wish, by reading some of Dr. Paul’s other books. Even if they cannot agree with anything in Dr. Paul’s new book it may be a good idea for all of them to read it very carefully, because we will all have to deal with the principles sooner or later. "Facts are stubborn things," said John Adams.

What are they afraid of?

What would be so terrible about returning America to the Rule of Law Under the Constitution? Would it be such a dreadful thing? Can it be done? Would it destroy the economy? How can we know? Truth is, the Constitution, though alien to the mindset of most Americans, is still the supreme Law of the Land. — Article VI, Clause 2. And we are wise to consult this Compass constantly to determine if we are on the right heading. Are we moving away from the Constitution toward tyranny and despotism or are we moving toward the Constitution and the Liberty with Prosperity that would attend Lawful, Limited Government. Shall we be ruled by an elite or governed by ourselves through our own written laws?

Dr. Paul is teaching us to read and learn our own Constitutions and Laws.

We have no king; no dictator — and we acknowledge no human being as "Leader of the Free World [an oxymoron]" You can check the Constitution and you will not find "Leader of the Free World" listed under the lawful duties of the President. The relative length of Articles I, II, and III are worthy of consideration. Article I is longer by far than the other two. This is not for nothing. It speaks of the limited powers we delegated to the Congress — and its powers include the authority to remove presidents and judges. Think of this the next time you see some "arm twisting" or bullying tactics being used by the White House. The Executive has no lawful powers but those granted by the Constitution and the laws made by the Congress in pursuance thereof. It has no prerogative to invent new authorities or make war at pleasure. The Supreme Court has no authorities outside of those granted. It Cannot Make law. And the Congress has the sole power to constitute tribunals [courts] inferior to the Supreme Court.

It won’t be a "cake walk" to get back to the beginning — and it will require a few intellectual "surges." Nevertheless, I fail to see why we should not at least consider it as an option. I think it’s easy to rule out the possibility of a presidential debate focusing on specific details of Constitutional Law or the United States Code. Any opponents to Dr. Paul would be completely unarmed and defenseless in such a contest. Thankfully we don’t have to wait for the other candidates to enter the dialog. They can lead, follow, or get out of the way. While they all sleep — the Revolution reawakens. As Dr. Paul is careful to point out, his "Revolution" is nothing more than a return to original principles and original intent.

Bring It On!

We should encourage a battle of books as the next stage in this campaign season. This could be the beginning of a dynamic phenomenon in America politics. What if Hillary, Obama, and McCain, or their ghost writers, decide to write books to combat Dr. Paul’s new book, The Revolution: A Manifesto? If this causes Americans to read and compare, we may be entering a whole new era with an engaged American body politic that begins to raise its literacy and its expectations closer and closer to Constitutional levels. They could wake up one morning expecting Liberty.

Just imagine, if the People, in great numbers, could once again grasp this: "A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance: And a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives [emphasis added]." ~ James Madison

The Manifesto as a Catalyst

Dr. Paul, of all people, knows that his use of the word "Manifesto" in his title is controversial and will provoke discussion and comparisons to other Manifestoes as well as to the platforms of his opponents. I can think of a handful that I have read. These include, the Communist Manifesto of Marx and Engels, the Humanist Manifestoes I, II & III, as well the Christian Manifesto by the late Christian apologist Dr. Francis Schaeffer. Rush Limbaugh wrote The Way Things Ought to Be, and Vladimir Ilyich Lenin wrote What Is To Be Done. And who [but the Republican Party] could forget the Gingrich and his Contract with America?

Some speak and write with the intent to ensure Life, Liberty and Happiness for their fellow man — to protect his life and property. Others speak and write to deceive, manipulate, control and dominate. Those who learn to read, compare, and practice critical thinking, can choose to support or oppose based on their own convictions and political philosophies. Government by consent requires fully informed consent.

The reason Dr. Paul would win any battle of the manifestoes hands down is that he is all full of Constitutional solutions for American problems — and he can cite chapter and verse. The others have no truck with the Founding Fathers and the Framers of the Constitution. Therefore, the more Americans read and think, the closer we will be to a Ron Paul Administration. And this is a phenomenon that could accelerate over the next few months, especially if it were combined with more "money bombs" and more fresh recruits for his volunteer army of internet super wonks. It would seem that many of the most creative folks on the web are also liberty minded and incredibly intelligent and creative. Let’s not only predict this acceleration — let’s instigate it — by promoting Dr. Paul’s book. Challenge your fellow citizens to read it. Bring it up in every conversation. Encourage them to compare all the candidates’ words, writings and voting records.

Obviously, the free flow of information combined with increased literacy will tend toward a better-informed and free-thinking public. This is the opposite of what the other candidates are counting on. They rely on cheap tricks of all sorts — hoping they will be able to handle softball questions in rigged media events and fake debates — and get just the right one-liner or Willie Horton Moment to pull it out. Substance is their archenemy. Not so with Dr. Paul, who, like Jackie Chan, does all of his own stunts.

The Manifesto of 1848 would not conflict with the platforms of the other three major candidates. They may or may not know how closely their platforms replicate Socialism/Communism. But Karl Marx and Frederic Engels could be writing for both major parties today if they were alive — and most of the party faithful wouldn’t take note. If you don’t believe it, take some time and read the Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto and compare them to the de facto government in these United States and the major-party platforms. Property is taken by coercion and force to build the illusion of a workers’ paradise while a powerful elite freely mixes egalitarian rhetoric with Institutionalized Grand Theft.

Someone [it may have been Lenin] said, "Communism is just Socialism in a hurry." Three major candidates are in a hurry in the direction of socialism and only one stands firm for Liberty and the Constitution. The others should put all their plans in writing so that we can make complete comparisons. By now I think many Americans are aware of the manipulative nature of the MSM as well as their tendency to work against Liberty and the Rule of Law. Perhaps the MSM should also be compelled to explain why they tend to promote almost anything that works against Liberty and Freedom. Which Manifesto would they prefer? And what about Academe? How many of their Neo-Marxes are pitching for the Ivy League?

Between now and November please buy and read Dr. Paul’s Manifesto. Read it and compare it to Anything written or spoken by the other candidates. Get everyone you know to read it. If you are a neophyte [and most of us are] you can purchase the Elementary Catechism on the Constitution of the United States, written for children in 1828, with a companion book I have compiled: The Bill of Rights — EXPOSED! For a really comprehensive compendium of Americanism read The American Ideal of 1776 and compare it to Dr. Paul’s book if you like. I think you will be well pleased. The Truth is now made Manifest: Americans who are well informed and love Liberty have an opportunity, come next November, to Elect a True Patriot who Loves the Rule of Law! Accept no imitations or substitutions.

Before you send Johnnie off to earn his college tuition the hard way — make sure he can read all the "Warning Labels" that pertain to military service. He won’t find these as easily as the Surgeon General’s Warning on his cigarettes even though cigarettes are slower killers. There are classes in schools that warn about "casual unprotected sex," but not many about casual unprotected war. The government schools, being infested by sycophants beholden to the State, will have coffee and doughnuts ready when the recruiters arrive to make sure Johnny gets a crack at trading an eye or a leg or a mind or a life for some college tuition and some shiny medals — maybe even a Gold Star.

Take some time and look at a couple of the glitzy new recruiting sites for the armed forces of the United States and see if you can find anything in the form of a warning that would really tell the whole truth about what could happen as a result of trying to "be all that you can be." Even if they warn about injury and death — they are not going to talk about being ordered to kill people under less than honorable and lawful circumstances. The military sites are not going to directly criticize their Commander-In-Chief for getting them into an unlawful, unconstitutional war. They are no more "Fair and Balanced" than Fox News. And the generals turn into pussycats after they retire, or, worse yet, "War Entrepreneurs" — still shilling for the War Party — with at least One very rare exception.

The Few, The Proud, The Constitutionally Literate?

If the US Marine Corps were really all about being "Semper Fi" to Honor and the Constitution before anything else, they would treat Major General Smedley D. Butler, USMC, Retired [the most highly decorated marine] with a lot more honor and respect. And if they would do justice to him there could be a lot of injustice prevented. Go to their site and look for him. His name is good for naming military bases — but his perspective on lawful and unlawful war is not being taught by the Marine Corps or the other armed services. There are important reasons for that. You can search their site for him by clicking here. Another subject not often mentioned on those enticing recruitment sites: The Constitution.

Major General Butler was never a pure "Peacenik." A fierce adversary on the field of battle, he was always in favor of Lawful War for Lawful Defense and Never for Aggression or Plunder. This is precisely the position of the Founding Fathers and the Framers of the Constitution. When he found out the truth about war he turned against the Machine. And that is the honorable reaction for a True Marine and True Patriot. When confronted with Truth he takes his position on the side of Truth.

It would be one thing to bury his history after he left the Corps if he had turned against his country and dishonored the uniform. But General Butler continued to serve his country — and its veterans — better and better in the years after his active duty — until he even thwarted a fascist coup to take over our government — and finally risked everything including his reputation to boldly come out against the Warfare State and the Military Industrial Complex — exposing War in general, as the Racket it is and always has been. Apparently other retired generals have not been so quick to join his ranks. If this was not a "Marine’s Marine" there is no such specimen.

Even his Two [2] Congressional Medals of Honor cannot do justice to this man, who, even now, in his death, has the potential to save thousands, perhaps millions of American lives, as well as the lives of millions upon millions in other countries, who should not, who must not, be lost to benefit the Warmongers among us who have become drunk on the blood of Empire.

"HELL NO — WE WON’T GO!"

In my opinion, no young person who cannot intelligently discuss General Butler’s book, "War Is A Racket," should be permitted to join any of the armed forces. I would further insist that all military personnel be schooled in "War Crimes Avoidance." This would primarily be centered on teaching the difference between lawful and unlawful orders and lawful and unlawful wars. Most military personnel do not consciously think about this until perhaps after their service — or never — according to Smedley Butler. They just follow orders. That is why Michael New is such an anomaly.

We put warnings on all sorts of products.

I once went into a store where they sold motorcycles and other sports vehicles etc. I couldn’t help but notice a large yellow tag fastened on the back of a quad cycle seat. It read, "Caution: You May Fall Off and Be Killed." I am not making this up. My first reaction was a guffaw. At the time I wrote that off to political correctness. I thought perhaps "cause and effect" had been educated out of the culture for such a warning to be necessary. Kids had been falling off of things for a long time. But if the same kids that need to see a warning like that are joining the military to get money for college I think severe and repeated warnings are definitely in order and should be required by law. They are already mathematically challenged if they think most college degrees will result in higher lifetime net incomes than many of the trades. My plumber used to be a brain surgeon.

We must heed the warnings of a true Hero like Smedley Butler if we are ever going the Preempt the next Preemptive War. If you have never read his book you must read it and get your kids and all of your relatives and friends to read it — and talk about it — to all of their circles of friends and relatives. It is an extremely powerful little book — and it is Unimpeachable. Change a few company names; add a few zeros to the obscene profits of war, and you will see that this 1935 Classic is quite up-to-date. Get at least one for your coffee table.

I have set aside a dedicated website to promote the reading of General Butler’s book "War Is A Racket" and another work of perhaps equal value: "The War Prayer," by Mark Twain, a short story so controversial that its publication was reserved until after Twain’s death.

There are a few ways for you to read and promote these works, starting with reading them on line at no cost and linking to them in your emails, on your blogs and on your websites. You can also purchase a new pamphlet with both works at a nominal charge — or go to Amazon and buy the glossy publisher’s paperback version of Butler’s book. The main objective is to get you to read the pamphlet a few times — or at least until it makes a permanent impression on your mind, heart and soul. From ABC News: "The children removed from the compound are being held in state custody and could soon be placed in foster care, a potentially huge adjustment for children raised in the isolated religious sect, a state Child Protective Services spokeswoman said Friday… Child welfare officials took more than 400 children into custody last week on suspicion that they were being sexually and physically abused after police raided the compound. Hundreds of women from the sect voluntarily followed the children…"

As we breathe a sigh of relief that government thugs did not burn another 400 children to death, to prevent them being harmed in the Fair State of Texas, we may want to take a look to see what’s left of the Fourth Amendment.

One of these statements is true:

1) "The Supreme Court outlawed polygamy in the 1800s."

2) The US Supreme Court has absolutely No law making powers under the Constitution — and No jurisdiction within the States of the Union.

One of these statements is true:

1) Government has no authority to trample the Fourth Amendment underfoot and regulate private conduct behind closed doors.

2) Courts can arbitrarily decide where government can stick its nose and when. This can be done before or after a raid or investigation — with or without evidence.

Plot Spoiler Warning: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." ~ Fourth Amendment

One of these statements is true:

1) Government schools themselves constitute the most prevalent form of child abuse. The foster care industry is a symbiotic adjunct. Read Mary Pride’s Book: The Child Abuse Industry.

2) Government has a right to arbitrarily decide if and when to remove children from their parents’ homes preemptively based on suspicion and/or unsubstantiated allegations by undocumented informants — some of which may have immunity and/or be on the government payroll.

A visceral response from the addled may be: "You just don’t understand! — There are many gray areas — and we have to act to prevent damage to u2018the children!’"

The gray areas are manufactured over time by vested interests. This is a very old game in totalitarian regimes. Historically, the naïve have been those who placed too much confidence in government. They have often ended up dead and numbered in the millions.

Do "protective services" operate on a straight commission basis?

In effect, Yes! Law Enforcement and the Judicial Rackets are growth industries in the Fascist State. Check out your own county — look for new larger jails and court houses often built with grant money. The conversion of local law enforcement to a military discipline and mindset at variance with local interests and the rights of citizens will continue to result in more and more Wacos, until and unless the tide is turned back to limited accountable government. "Multi-jurisdictional task forces" are not — can never be — Lawful.

You mean the mothers didn’t have to be compelled to follow their own children into the tender jaws of the Beast? Is the news writer surprised to see mothers who don’t want to get rid of their children?

Maybe the government should consider other tactics. After all, perhaps all of us will need to become polygamous in order to supply enough fodder for the war machine of this present Empire.

I have no understanding of what goes on inside of the sect in question — and there is little doubt in my mind that I would disagree with them on many particulars of their creed — but I am not going to take their children away in order to learn more about them. I would not disturb or molest them in any way until and unless I know a real crime with a real victim has been committed. Government should have a much higher threshold for any interference in our private lives. The government default should be going away and leaving us alone.

We must all realize how close this nation is to a policy of random house to house searches without even the slightest lip service to constitutional protections. We are on the brink. Once we scoffed at the East Germans and Russians for tolerating such treatment. And we cheered when they trashed the headquarters of their Secret Police. But that’s old news.

We need to start thinking very carefully about which of our unalienable rights we can afford to neglect. In the "mind of government" we are all pre-qualified for some sort of age-appropriate "child protective services."

More details from ABC: "Authorities are still looking for the 16-year-old girl who made the cry for help from the compound, and some experts say the legal basis for the Texas officials’ raid may not hold up in court if they cannot locate the accuser…That 16-year-old is the linchpin for probable cause. She is the reason they said they had cause to go in and do this search. If that is not present, if they can’t establish probable cause, then everything they gathered in the search will likely be suppressed," said legal analyst Jonathan Turley today on Good Morning America Weekend….He added, "They will not be able to bring criminal charges. They can even be sued for that search."

If no children were harmed — and I sincerely hope none were — perhaps the tort lawyers are about to have another feeding frenzy. Whatever happens I hope we all get a more vital understanding of the importance of our fundamental constitutional protections in relation to our God-Given Unalienable Rights.

The children now appear to be in more jeopardy for some degree of government sanctioned child abuse rather than anything that was feared or alleged of their parents or other sect members.

Tort lawyers may be good for something after all.

The GAO [formerly the Government Accounting Office] has changed its name without changing its acronym — quite a feat for a government agency. It even saves them from having to conjure up another catchy web address. It will be known henceforth as the "Government Accountability Office." As government grows and consumes everything in its path it becomes necessary from time to time to do some Orwellian adjustments. This new name is a real stroke of government genius showing a level of creativity previously unknown in the world of accounting. But let’s be fair — most of us recognize modern accounting as one of the fine arts not having any relationship to applied science.

The GAO describes itself: "The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) is known as u2018the investigative arm of Congress’ and u2018the congressional watchdog.’ GAO supports the Congress in meeting its constitutional responsibilities and helps improve the performance and ensure the accountability of the federal government for the benefit of the American people…" Click here to read more about the GAO at their website.

Even though it is described as a "congressional watchdog," it actually colludes with the Congress in evading constitutional responsibilities. It is a watchdog for the Congress — not for the People — and the Congress does not expect its own dog to bite the hand that feeds it. The "aristocrats" in Congress decide what is "best" for the American People [their reelection and arrogation of more and more power and wealth] — and then they solicit the help of the GAO to cook the books. The GAO effects this more by sins of omission than commission. They are not generating reports and pie charts to show the Congress all of the obvious benefits of going back to our lawful money of gold and silver. I would love to see that!

There has recently been a changing of the guard at the GAO with the resignation of Comptroller David M. Walker and appointment of Gene L. Dodaro, as Acting Comptroller. Government officials resign for all sorts of reasons. But it would appear Mr. Walker has turned into a very vocal itinerate "whistleblower." The man is talking Trillions and Trillions in unfunded future obligations that we will never be able to meet. See and hear the former Comptroller on 60 Minutes.

The Main Bean Counter: Chicken Little — or Paul Revere?

No rat leaving a sinking ship, David Walker sounds very sincere and his appeal seems heartfelt. But I don’t think he’s quite ready to join the Ron Paul campaign. If you listen carefully you may agree that he has not completely left the realms of virtual accounting. I think this is also true of the three major think tanks in his entourage: Heritage, Brookings and the Concord Coalition. To repudiate every aspect of state socialism would be to vindicate the Founders and Framers, and Dr. Ron Paul, who keeps telling us to pay attention to their warnings instead of self-medicating with the palliative of economic denial. We cannot afford an ounce of it. It would be a pity to divert and waste the energy of such a consensus. A false diagnosis and a band-aid now will only make the crash more destructive and its effects more long lasting. The rhetoric of reform must yield to the reality of Revolution.

In his 60 Minutes interview David Walker states: "If you tell them the truth; if you give them the facts; if you explain this in terms of not just numbers but values and people, they will get it and empower their elected officials to make tough choices."

What is Truth?

If Mr. Walker would sample the population regarding its knowledge of the Constitution I think he would have to agree that simply telling them the truth is not going to cut it. I would like to quiz the GAO staff on the Constitution. If our lawyers aren’t learning it, how can we reasonably expect accountants to know much about it? I think it is not precise to speak of the People "empowering" the Congress to make "tough choices." The "empowerment" of Congress should flow from the People through their Constitution — and from no other source. There is no other lawful option.

Instead of trying to salvage some cherished remnant of socialism or collectivism, the three named think tanks should start collaborating with Dr. Ron Paul — and pointing their fellow citizens toward lawful and Constitutional solutions. They can put more links on their websites to places like Mises.org, LewRockwell.com, and Lexrex.com. They must fully recognize the Welfare/Warfare State is as unsustainable as it is unconstitutional. It is immoral and unlawful in any measure; heinous and obscene at present levels, and will wreak havoc if not repudiated in its entirety. You cannot establish any element of state socialism without first abandoning the principle of Equality before the Law. There are many very discoverable reasons for the fact that No Welfare State existed in 1789. There is not a word in the Constitution to support it. The Framers were on the right track — and Ron Paul is on the right track.

Either we will have Lawful Money and Banking, With Zero Socialism, or we will Not have Lawful Government — and we must choose in every generation. The generation that bankrupts America for the next few generations — or perhaps forever — will not be remembered as the "Greatest Generation."

Here is another gem from the GAO: "A quick look at the federal budget reveals how much we have expanded beyond the Constitution’s framers’ original thoughts and our modest beginnings." A quick look!? The longer more reflective look may cause nausea and perhaps a sensation of serious head trauma. Are the "framers’ original thoughts" anything like the "strictures of Constitutional law," or were the Framers incapable of getting their thoughts down on paper? We are a nation without excuse. It is dysfunctional to pretend the Framers left us without an immaculate set of instructions. The government had truly "modest beginnings." But somehow it lost its youthful virtue.

Will Rogers once said his job as a humorist was never hard because he had the whole government working for him. If you go to any government website you will certainly have to agree with him. He also said, "If Stupidity got us into this mess, then why can’t it get us out?”

Disobeying the Constitution got us into this mess! Obeying it is the only way out!

What does the GAO recommend?

"What is needed is a more strategic, long-term, comprehensive, and integrated approach to help capitalize on related opportunities and manage related risks within current and expected resource levels…" It is interesting to note that their use of the word "capitalize" may have little to do with money or accounting. Down further we read: "Our current long-range fiscal path is clearly imprudent and fiscally unsustainable…" Then we see some language possibly related to covering the hind quarters: "Unless these issues are effectively addressed, they will surely begin to manage us." Is this a preface to a future "I told you so" speech? Yes! The "issues" will "manage us," sooner or later, if we fail to seize the day and Restore Limited Constitutional Government.

The GAO is advocating another "Reform." The Founders and Framers knew they needed a Revolution. I often go back to the Noah Webster’s 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language to get that certain nuance of meaning that we may have left behind along the way. In his third entry for "reform" I found an interesting tidbit: "Reform … amendment of what is defective, vicious, corrupt or depraved; as the reformation of parliamentary elections; reform of government."

One meaning of the word "Revolution" that I find a useful Metaphor, is the mechanical usage denoting one complete turn back to the beginning. Our most brilliant minds can connect all the dots back to the beginning if anyone can. They can also avail themselves of the wisdom of the Founders and Framers. We don’t need to learn Everything from our own mistakes. And we don’t need to keep trying to fix something that is corrupt and vicious in its origins, execution and consequences.

Certain warnings bear much repetition: “But we want no excuse for any supposed mistakes of our ancestors. Let us first see it prov’d that they were mistakes. ‘Till then we must hold ourselves obliged to them for sentiments transmitted to us so worthy of their character, and so important to our security: . . .” ~ Sam Adams

What’s in a name?

My suggestion: They should not stop at changing the word "accountability." Why not go all the way and call themselves the "VAO [Virtual Accountability Office]?" They should not use the term "Government" because they operate outside of constitutional authority almost exclusively. They should not use the word Accounting because there is nothing concrete to count. You cannot weigh fiat currency. And you absolutely cannot tell how much "liquidity" is being created by the Fed on behalf of their cronies — or perhaps counterfeited by the "Axis of Evil."

Suppose, as they now say, we are saving Billions, thanks to the fine people at the VAO, and suppose we are Missing Trillions. Do you see a problem here? According to the VAO Billions are allegedly well accounted for, while, according to other government sources, Trillions are Missing. As Mae West once said, "I’ve been a Thousandaire, and I’ve been a Millionaire and Millionaire is Better." Would you rather be missing a Billion or a Trillion? She also said, “Goodness had nothing to do with it, dearie.”

Why are we even talking virtual billions when virtual trillions are missing!? The VAO is off by a magnitude of perhaps 1000 to 1 or more in terms of what it should be talking about — and that’s only in fiat currency. Is it because they are only talking Virtual Economics — not real, finite, concrete, factual economics?

Still further down we read: "Without meaningful action, by 2040 our government could only have the resources to do little more than mail out Social Security checks and pay interest on the massive and growing national debt. This is obviously an unacceptable scenario." Should we be overwhelmed by a projection that by 2040 the "government" will only have enough virtual money to pay Social Security and the Interest on the National Debt — both of which are unconstitutional? Could this mean that by 2040 we will almost be ready to go back to the Constitution?

What are we waiting for?

According to John McCain… “the transcendent challenge of our time: [is] the threat of radical Islamic terrorism [speaking to the World Affairs Council of course]."

McCain is not even close! But he is way too close to the White House.

According to Ron Paul, these are the transcendent challenges of our time.

Come next November, Diebold and the Supreme Court notwithstanding, we will get to choose between Tyranny and Despotism with Lies, and Liberty with Truth.

The two coordinate branches of the War Party can only thrive based on fightings and fears within and without. There is no history on their side. Evil Empires must be taken down. They always have been. The war money called Federal Reserve Notes will either be set aside, phased out, or inflated until it isn’t worth the cost of paper or digital zeros. American foreign policy will be humbled sooner or later.

We cannot spend our way to prosperity and global dominance by inflating inherently worthless fiat money. Keynesian Economics fails because it is fundamentally dishonest. If Bastiat and Keynes had been contemporaries, I’d like the think Claude Frédéric would have thrown a rock through John Maynard’s window. But I think Keynes would have been more likely to throw the first stone. Bastiat understood cause and effect too well.

Wars are the Death of Empires — They Do Not Sustain Them.

"Radical Islam" is no more of a threat than it was in Jefferson’s time. The Congress and the Executive can use lawful remedies: Letters of Marque and Reprisal for Pirates and Criminals — Lawfully Declared Wars for State Actors who actually attack us. It’s simple. It’s true. It’s Constitutional. And Ron Paul is the only one on the stage with the integrity to implement it by keeping his campaign promises.

I don’t hear McCain or the two Democrats talking about these solutions. Hillary and Obama are talking about spending lots of money we don’t have on their domestic agendas. And for now they are reserved when they speak of an exit strategy for Iraq. McCain wants to "invest" the same money and the blood of your children in Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. He is more honest than G.W. Bush in that. George told us he wanted a humble foreign policy while he was already busy looking for excuses to invade Iraq and a few more countries.

Hillary and Obama seem locked in a struggle to figure out which one of them is different — which one can offer us more "free" stuff. Last week we found out that Hillary could completely re-fabricate a scenario where she was under sniper fire when she and Chelsea almost had to shoot their way into Bosnia. She differs from her husband in that his lies most often related to denying things that had happened. Hillary "remembers" things that didn’t happen. Then she "remembers" them again after being previously embarrassed. This does not bode well for the 3AM phone call scenario. She didn’t "misspeak." She lied! It’s "what is u2018is’" all over again.

The Democrats are trying to buy the Welfare Votes and McCain is trying to buy the Warfare Votes. All three are committed to a longer version of the Iraqi Quagmire.

McCain sees things that aren’t there, including, but not limited to, imaginary enemies. If elected, he will continue to smirk at your individual liberties and the Transcendent Values of our American Heritage. Now he is sending clear signals that global government is part of his agenda. Are we to have a new "League of Democracies?" This is consistent with the Bush I & II agenda of global corporate fascist war-for-profit, often called "Democracy" for short. Woodrow Wilson would be proud. "Democracies" have so far proven to be no match for the Military Industrial Complex. What happens to those nations who resist McCain’s vision of "Democracy?" I understand he can be very ill tempered.

Unlawful Government is the Transcendent Threat of our time.

The challenge internationally is to start treating criminals as criminals and not as State actors. If Bin Laden admits to 9/11 he could be a pathological liar, the actual perpetrator, or both. Bragging rights are highly coveted in the Arab world. In Israel there are almost always too many claimants for any given bombing. Once rules of evidence are properly applied, and there is a lawful process to determine the guilt of a perpetrator, the Congress and the Administration have lawful powers, short of declaring war, to handle the problem. This would obviously promote international stability and the humble foreign policy the Founders and Framers envisioned. Our enemies and our friends would know what to expect.

The domestic challenge is similar: Treat Criminals as Criminals, Impeaching and Removing them from office, and Prosecuting them to the fullest extent of the law.

If "Radical Islam" is not a redundant term, the peaceful factions should start outing the criminals. But this cannot make strategic sense to them as long as all of Islam is receiving mixed messages from the Administration via the Military and the MSM. If the high estimates are correct, a few million Arabs have already died. Our grieving military families get a Gold Star. Dead Arabs get to be called "Collateral Damage" or "Insurgents" if they are lucky. We never kill anyone just for the Hell of it.

If the Arab countries give up their criminals they may end up with a shortage of those who want to fight and kill Americans. This is one reasonable explanation for their apparent tendency not to help anyone find Bin Laden.

In 2004 McCain was already carrying water for the War Party: "War is an awful business. The lives of a nation’s finest patriots are sacrificed. Strategic interests shielded by years of statecraft are endangered as the demands of war and diplomacy conflict…"

In his recent "transcendence in anticipation of ascendance" speech for the CFR, McCain said: "Only a fool or a fraud sentimentalizes the merciless reality of war. However heady the appeal of a call to arms, however just the cause, we should still shed a tear for all that is lost when war claims its wages from us…"

McCain was on a roll. But he stopped far short of the whole truth, or he would have summarized by saying, "War Is A Racket!" — and insisting that every American heed the warnings of a real war hero: Major General Smedley D. Butler, USMC Retired. As for "the nation’s finest patriots," they are grieving over her lost virtue.

Why did We The People form a Federal Government — or any government?

"… to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…" — The Declaration of Independence

Can courts — even the Supreme Court — Make law?

All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. — Article I, Section, 1 Clause 1.

If I have 100% [All] of something in one place, how much of it can exist in all other places combined? That leaves 0%. Could this mean that the Supreme Court cannot make Any law according to the Constitution — or do they have powers that come from somewhere else? They have occasionally claimed extra-constitutional powers or "the inherent powers of sovereign nations" or some such other nonsense. According to the Declaration, their "just powers" come "from the [informed] consent of the governed."

Since the Supreme Court Justices take an Oath to the Constitution they are duty bound to recognize the separation of powers that was so carefully crafted into it. They are only lawfully authorized to settle Cases that are lawfully brought before them. Even Lincoln believed that — or at least he said he did.

We The People, through our agents, the States of the Union, formed the federal government to protect our lives and our property, and to do all other lawful acts within the bounds of their jurisdiction and the specific written set of instructions found in Article I, Section 8. Then, We and the States of the Union, retained all of the rights that were not explicitly surrendered. Therefore if anything is indefinite it would be the expanse of our retained rights — and Not the limited, delegated, enumerated, specific, separate and distinct powers conferred upon government. Those five terms prescribing the bounds of the lawful powers of government are prominent in the writings of the Founders and Framers. Imagine how constricted the powers of the federal government really are, under written law, when all five of these principles are consistently integrated.

To say the People were giving government a license to meddle with our unalienable rights goes so far beyond stupidity and a lack of legal scholarship. It is as disingenuous as it is seditious and treacherous. This would leave no reason for any written compact of government — and certainly no reason for going through the formalities of taking Oaths. It is tantamount to saying the government was formed to destroy the fundamental liberties of the People at its caprice. It is quite appropriate to say we only lend certain limited powers to government and reserve the right to take them back when they are abused.

In the Virginia Declaration of Rights we read, "…all power is vested in, and consequently derived from, the people; that magistrates are their trustees and servants, and at all times amenable to them…"

Notice that All lawful power flows Down from the People through their Counties and States, and finally to something that should seem very far away and less relevant to their daily experience — the Federal Government. It is the Creature of the People and the States. As a Creature it is Lawfully Amenable to its Creators. Once again we see a 100% statement that leaves no plausible source for extra-constitutional powers.

To understand what is happening we need to familiarize ourselves with the term"Sophistry": Fallacious Reasoning — Sound in Appearance Only! Another related term that belongs to the murky lexicon of legalese is "Dictum" — which refers to many things that judges say when they probably ought to be more discreet. A nicer way to put it might be, "a judge’s expression of opinion on a point other than the precise issue involved in determining a case." Even this definition is infected with some sophistry. When a judge is speaking in Dictum his opinion carries no more weight than any ordinary layman or citizen — and it has no force of law. As Mencken said, "A judge is a law student who marks his own examination papers."

Why did we Ratify a Bill of Rights?

"… in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, …" — Preamble to the Bill of Rights

The ratification documents of the States are more specific and detailed, and leave no doubt that the Federal Government was/is bound to be amenable to them and We The People, since they were the Agents through which the People created the Federal Government. Preambles have no force of law — but they are relevant to our understanding of Intent.

The word, "Amenable" is another very interesting word. It does not mean the government only has to sit and listen to us and then it can do as it pleases. It means that All remedies must be maintained Sacrosanct. In other words, it means all necessary operations for correcting errors must be constructively available to the States and the People collectively and individually at all times. It means you ought to be able to get swift Justice for any and every violation of the Constitution — along with policies put in place to maintain Constitutional checks and balances. It means the government ought to be Accountable.

Amenability "at all times" means, among other things, that there are No Emergency Powers, No Executive Orders, and No Judge-Made Laws that can affect or infringe the God-Given Rights of We The People or Me the Individual. That is what We signed up for!

If you ever had a Right to Keep and Bear Arms — you have it now — and Government can Never take it from you Lawfully. It is unalienable, and it is necessary to protect your own life and property, and the lives and property of your family and neighbors — even the Union — against all enemies foreign and domestic.

The notion that certain weapons are not suited to personal protection is also sophistry that preys upon gross ignorance. You need such weapons as can overcome every potential enemy. If you need to shoot 12 attackers you will need more than a 9-round clip.

Another consumer note: Governments at all levels have been excused by the courts from any legal obligation to protect you or me. That’s right! If you are murdered in your bed right next to the police station after you had been dialing 911 for three hours, you will have no standing in court against the police department.

Logically speaking… who does that leave to protect you? Could it be You? Not really. It could also include any voluntary association of citizens engaging in lawful behavior. It might also include your County Sheriff, his Deputies, or the Militia.

The Founding generation would be astounded to know how naïve we have become if we expect the police will be able to adequately protect us. Statistically we need even more protection in densely populated areas where there are more policemen per capita. If we had read the Founders and Framers more often we would not be so easily taken in by sophistry. Gun control sophistry can be most deadly.

What happens to an unarmed populace when their own government decides to murder them? What sort of government is to be feared in this regard? How about Any government — especially one that is growing like a Metastasizing Tumor both Internationally and Domestically?

I just did a search to see how the current DC gun case is going in the Supreme Court. One of the headlines said, "US high court considers landmark gun-rights case":

…The court’s ruling, expected by the end of June, could have a far-reaching impact on gun control laws in the United States, estimated to have the world’s highest civilian gun ownership rate, and could become an issue in the November election…

Please follow that link above and read every word very carefully. The Media is engaging in Sophistry in anticipation of Dictum. Do they realize what they are doing? It is interesting that this version is tailored for African consumption. The source is Reuters: Africa. I would be more comfortable with an international Media that recognized the Unalienable Right to Keep and Bear Arms as universal rather than uniquely American or archaic.

Is it possible that the country with "the world’s highest civilian gun ownership rate" is also the most free? Look around the world. What do you see?

The Congress, not the Court, has Plenary Jurisdiction over the Seat of Government [called Washington, DC].

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States,… — Article I, Section 8, Clause 17

Once again we see a 100% situation indicative of the separation of powers. Considering the above Clause, how much power does the Court have to Legislate for the District? The answer once again: Zero!

Also realize the title of the article is in itself very misleading. We have no "High Court" under the Constitution. High Courts, so-called, are appropriately called that because they are instituted in countries with no protections for unalienable rights. In the portion quoted above there is a glaring error: the writer not only assumes the Supremes make law. He also assumes they can overrule existing laws within the States of the Union. Thus a non-lawmaking body can strike down laws in foreign jurisdictions!? Now that would be "far reaching impact!" Do you see how much the MSM is trying to help these people?

Rousseau once asked why the Spanish Conquistadores needed to risk their lives traveling across the seas to plant flags in the sands of American shores, in order to claim those lands, which were already inhabited by other peoples, for their Monarch. He mused that if the king had such a right, he might just as well have declared the transaction Consummated from his sitting room.

The States of the Union are Not within the original Jurisdiction of the United States as it pertains to the Congress or the Court. And it doesn’t matter how many wicked precedents exist from the time of John Marshall and Alexander Hamilton forward. A Million wrongs will never make a Right. The longer it takes to correct this Obscenity — the closer we are to absolute judicial tyranny.

The understanding above is radical — and it was firmly held many other radicals including Jefferson and Madison. But it was common sense when the Constitution was ratified in 1788.

Here’s a deal for you: If you don’t want to retain your God-Given Right to Keep and Bear Arms, just make an Affidavit and sign it over to me. You say you would never do that? I say you can never Lawfully do that. It is an Unalienable Right. You can’t get rid of it. You can deny it at your own peril — and then face God and say, "It just didn’t make sense to me not to trust my own government, when the only thing I had to go on was all of recorded history."

“If men, through fear, fraud or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of society would absolutely vacate such renunciation. The right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave.” — Samuel Adams

Slaves are unarmed and prisoners are disarmed. Free men have the weapons of their own free choice without government infringement.

Guns Don’t Kill People — Governments Do!

It is a disturbing contemplation that you may ultimately be forced to choose to be murdered by your own government rather than to live as a slave. And it has happened many times in recent history. It is not just a historic anomaly. Forewarned is Forearmed. As the saying goes, "I would rather be judged by twelve than carried by six."

The Supreme Court should be Impeached and Removed en masse if they utter a single word alluding to any lawful power to touch our God-Given Right to Keep and Bear Arms. This would include any Dictum or Sophistry inferring that a ruling in a case brought in DC could set a precedent overruling so-called gun laws within any of the States of the Union. A unanimous decision against a God-Given Right would only confirm their unanimity in Sedition. But it would still be a Nullity Constitutionally speaking.

Is Kalifornia poised to launch one of the biggest manhunts in history? Are they going stamp out the scourge of homeschooling, once and for all — before it’s too late? Is a free market in education the greatest domestic threat after al-Qaeda? Was John Connor homeschooled?

I have taught in government schools and thought I was a slow learner because it took me five years to leave. John Taylor Gatto stayed and documented an exhaustive indictment of the system. However, we should never be as upset about the "failures" of public education as we are about its "successes": Charlotte Thompson Iserbyt can tell you more than you want to know about the real agenda of government-controlled education. The dumbing down is quite deliberate.

A few observations I made have been validated again and again:

1. Government Schools are the Reproductive Organs of the State. They have been formulated according to the Prussian Model for State Control to train Obedient Servants of the State.
2. Academics take a back seat to Socialization/Compliance.
3. The students are Never the main concern of the system. It’s not "for the Children." It’s for the State.
4. The "Honor" of government school honor students cannot be recognized except within the bounds of Compliance. But how can compliance with Evil be defined as "Honor"? The young pliable minds of our children are often conditioned to think going along to get along is the equivalent of being smart.

Sam Blumenfeld has compared public school indoctrination to an "involuntary non-surgical prefrontal lobotomy." I agree! The child study team is studying the right kids for all the wrong reasons. If a young boy seems fidgety; inattentive; or doesn’t seem to be able to get along with his "peers," he is studied, referred and drugged. The result: "Free Drug School Zones."

For a good read, get one of Blumenfeld’s books: NEA: Trojan Horse in American Education, Is Public Education Necessary? If the teacher’s unions really believed in excellence and academic integrity they would be overtly critical of government so as to make it impossible for them to survive as the most powerful lobbying entities. Their funding would dry up fast. What they do believe in is "Entrenched Mediocrity." They absolutely worship Tenure. And the worst teachers gravitate toward Administration where they can work less and do more damage. Thankfully, a small remnant has always existed and Sam maintains they were teaching "Closet Phonics" for decades. Otherwise almost no one would have learned to read during the plague called the Whole-Word Approach. Phonics is still trying to kill it! If you or your kid can’t read — buy Sam’s Phonics Book and call me in the morning.

As an academic exercise I emailed the Governator when he first took office to recommend two things that could help balance the California State budget. His website said he was open to viable solutions from anyone, anywhere. My first suggestion was a device that I am convinced can remove all emissions from any fossil fuel internal combustion exhaust. It is less expensive to make than a catalytic converter and can also increase fuel economy. You see, I had navely thought California had a smog problem.

The second recommendation I made was for California to lead the Union in aggressively promoting Home Education for as many of its students as possible. I was Not recommending Vouchers or any State funding for home schools. I was advocating for truly Free public education of a 100% voluntary nature, Free of State Money — Free of State Control. Could there be a better way to ease the fiscal crunch? The State would also be able to save all the money it is now wasting to advocate for State-Controlled "Free" Public Education. At the very least this plan could ease the burden of building more and more K-12 minimum security facilities. I reasoned: if Arnold were really sharp he might be inviting homeschoolers to tutor the hapless victims of State education. It might not be PC. But I bet it would work like magic.

I never received a response from Arnold. But I understand he is planning to support the Right to homeschool in the wake of the present controversial situation developing in his State. In that I can support him. Nevertheless, it would take a Terminator to loosen the grip the teachers unions have on education in this country. They are a bunch of Spoiled Brats if not Bolshevik Thugs.

In my book there is no such thing as a good reason to donate your children to the State. Homeschooling is the best option. Government-controlled schools are to be avoided at all cost.

Now back to Bastiat:

You say: “There are persons who lack education,” and you turn to the law. But the law is not, in itself, a torch of learning which shines its light abroad. The law extends over a society where some persons have knowledge and others do not; where some citizens need to learn, and others can teach. In this matter of education, the law has only two alternatives: It can permit this transaction of teaching and learning to operate freely and without the use of force, or it can force human wills in this matter by taking from some of them enough to pay the teachers who are appointed by government to instruct others, without charge. But in this second case, the law commits legal plunder by violating liberty and property.

Homeschoolers are obviously dangerous! Everyone knows! And the data are frightening — especially to anyone who believes in the State as their god — or in "Democracy." In fact, the agendas drip from every word as you listen to the advocates of the System explaining why there must be some level of "control" over Homeschooling — and that it only "works" in very limited ideal circumstances.

They say they want to make sure Homeschoolers can pass the standardized tests. That makes sense. We don’t want any misfits out there [like almost every person in history who ever changed anything for the better]. Statistically speaking homeschoolers can dance through the standardized tests. And, let’s face it, the equivalency tests are not based on the highest common denominator. You may already know the standardized tests have been dumbed down as well. The public schools are graduating dumber and dumber classes every year. It’s working!

If you want to see some socialization — go to the mall on a Friday evening when many of the public schools kids are dropped off for a few hours. One has to wonder how many tattoos are required to feel like one fits in [now I'll get hate email from Lydia the Tattooed Lady]. I have observed many thousands of homeschoolers as well, and I think I’ll take my chances with free choice in education. Socialization in prison is also defined as compliance — and inmates often compare tattoos. But what is the difference between a public school and a prison if attendance is compulsory and they drug or coerce you into compliance? Are they training our kids to be good inmates or free thinkers? "School to work" has about the same ring to me as "Workers of the World Unite!"

I heard a lot of candid conversations in the teachers’ lounge when I was teaching in the public schools. When homeschooling is challenged I often suggest the publication of covertly recorded conversations from public school teachers’ lounges. I don’t care if the voices are distorted to protect the guilty. I just want parents to hear what I heard. By and large the flowery rhetoric of teachers’ convention keynote speeches has not yet penetrated the smoke of the teachers’ lounge.

We need to do some "values clarification" training for anyone who is standing in loco parentis to protect and nurture our children. Equality before the law and asserting a "compelling interest of the State, in the education of Its children," are mutually exclusive values. The State cannot get pregnant — and it has no right to your children. Therefore, before you drop the kids off, you may want to know a lot more about what is being inculcated. Talk to your kids about everything going on in their schools.

There are many dedicated and sincere folks out there who have decided to sacrifice for high ideals to engage in a teaching career. But given better information and free choices I don’t think the government would recognize the free public school they would create. When given the opportunity to describe an ideal teaching situation, many of them will list the best aspects of homeschooling without realizing it.

Part of the problem today is that most of us were never taught anything very well. Many of us caught the compliance message. But we don’t really have solid criteria for measuring the academic aspects of the government schools — much less the more crucial values of creativity and independent thinking. The standardized tests are controlled by a monopoly. And it would be counterproductive from their point of view to test for Classical Libertarian ideals. The teachers might start teaching to the test.

The public schools as they exist can Never compete with the free market on a level playing field. Whereas public school administrators are clamoring for regulation of homeschooling it should be the other way around. The public should be made aware of the effectiveness of homeschooling and demanding that any "free" public school be brought under scrutiny of the public and subject to comparison with all free models for education.

Free homeschooling is a threat to all forms of collectivism and totalitarianism.

How can you tell what those homeschool kids are thinking? We must all be controlled you know. Otherwise we’ll have chaos. Homeschooling is a scary prospect to a control-freak government. Not only do all collectivists have to Know what’s going on inside your head. They have to Design what’s going on inside your head. Homeschooling will always cause problems for Collectivists, Totalitarians, Despots and Aristocrats. That’s why I love it.

There are two kinds of people who are comfortable with leaving you to your own devices: those who don’t care, and those who are comfortable enough to believe their own worldview can thrive without the support of the State. Therefore, public government-funded and controlled schools can Never leave you or your kids alone. They can never teach Liberty. They know they have a tenuous hold on their previous monopoly. Without compulsory attendance laws they would have never gained their present stronghold. We had a free market in education for a very long time in America. It served us well.

Perhaps Arnold realizes his State can never survive economically without creativity and productivity from the grassroots. Homeschooling and Austrian Economics may be the future for Kalifornia. Research shows homeschooling to be about 10+ times as economical as public schools if we only take the cost per student into account. New data also show that the amount spent per student in some of the most challenged public schools is inversely proportionate to the test scores. Take a look the DC schools if you really want to see what public school educators can do with more and more money per student. You can factor out the body armor if you insist.

Caveats: Homeschoolers must realize excellence in academics is only one reason for homeschooling. The protection of the hearts, minds and souls of our children is paramount. Liberty is the reason for homeschooling. When you use academics as your only measuring stick you are falling into a trap. If your goal is only to score ten points higher in all the measures used by the Establishment, you probably need better reasons to homeschool.

Homeschoolers can, and do, excel in many disciplines. The news is full of success stories all the time. They should also excel in free thinking and living. In addition, it is important to recognize that State Education facilitates State Worship. If you have spiritual values that you want to pass along to your children you will want to contemplate the essentially religious nature of the Omnipotent State and how it plays out in what is being passed off as "religion-neutral" education. The god of government must have its own schools.

Those of you who are considering other non-State schools for whatever reason should also be warned: The elitist, globalist agenda is more dominant in many of the most exclusive and expensive alternative schools. Just ask yourself: "Would Al Gore’s kids go to this school?" Then you’ll know what to do. Clue: Homeschool your kids!

Another insider tip: The right to homeschool is not a gift from the government. Therefore, those clamoring for "good homeschooling laws" are just as constitutionally confused as those who want "more good gun laws." The results will be analogous.

Thomas Jefferson founded the University of Virginia without the "help" of the federal government. And if Tom were alive today, I am quite sure he would be looking to Homeschooling as a wellspring for the next great exploits in truly free education and the transmission of Liberty to our posterity.

Printing money does not recessions reverse. Can the President print enough paper money to make us all Trillionaires? It’s possible — at least on paper. Then we could all run around like a bunch of Lottery Winners — or Congressmen.

When government prints more money it devalues the rest of the paper in circulation. More paper money means the money in your pocket is worth less and less. More electronic money means the money in your electronic bank account is worth less and less. This is not a mystery. All fiat currencies eventually go up in smoke because too many people get the idea that they can be one of the insiders riding on the backs of the unwashed masses.

Self-preservation and self-development are common aspirations among all people. And if everyone enjoyed the unrestricted use of his faculties and the free disposition of the fruits of his labor, social progress would be ceaseless, uninterrupted, and unfailing.

But there is also another tendency that is common among people. When they can, they wish to live and prosper at the expense of others. This is no rash accusation. Nor does it come from a gloomy and uncharitable spirit. The annals of history bear witness to the truth of it: the incessant wars, mass migrations, religious persecutions, universal slavery, dishonesty in commerce, and monopolies. This fatal desire has its origin in the very nature of man — in that primitive, universal, and insuppressible instinct that impels him to satisfy his desires with the least possible pain. — Frédéric Bastiat

It remains to be seen whether George W. Bush is a cynical insider or completely unaware of the fundamentals of economics. Since his behavior patterns appear narcissistic I would tend to think he sees himself as a powerful insider. So I would give just a slight edge to narcissism over incompetence. It is a tough call. He seems possessed of both.

I can almost hear him saying, "How can the government run out of money when we can always print more — or enter new balances into our computer systems?" Isn’t that what he wants you to believe? When the big giveaway day comes he will probably appear on the Telescreen and try to make us all feel as though he is taking it out of his own pocket. Perhaps he will suggest we buy some cake with our windfall.

The dollar doesn’t fall all by itself — it has to be pushed.

Increasing the money supply is a de facto tax against all the other money in the world that is held in FRNs [Federal Reserve Notes — Commonly but Erroneously called Dollars]. Paper Money is unconstitutional for the United States according to Madison’s Notes on the Constitutional Convention and numerous other authorities.

A Constitutionally-minded president would be right behind Representative Ron Paul advocating for the Abolition of The Federal Reserve Banking System and the return to Lawful Money of Gold and Silver. He might also ask the Congress to replace the IRS with something that might be dubbed: "External Revenue Service."

The so-called dollar is sliding fast since it is losing its grip as the reserve currency for world oil markets. Gold and Silver "backing" of the currency is only a vague memory. The foreign policy of "Take our paper for your oil or we will bomb you back into the Stone Age," is losing its charm. The world is wising up to monetary science and some of them seem to be getting a bit weary of being shaken down. Mises is leaving his mark.

What a tremendous opportunity this represents for all of us! Now is the time to Reinstate the lawful monetary and foreign policy principles of the Founders and Framers that are being promoted by only one presidential candidate: The Honorable United States Representative Ron Paul of Texas. I am so thankful that the smirks of John McCain cannot distract Dr. Paul for one instant. He just keeps talking Liberty, Law and Constitution. Go Ron Paul!

How can we help speed up the renewal process? What actions can best effect a restoration of American prestige and credibility on the world stage? If those we have elected are not obeying the law and the Constitution they must be removed and replaced — and the sooner the better. This goes for every government servant from top to bottom.

Would having Impeachment proceedings on the docket curb the abuses or hubris of the current Administration? There is but one way to find out: Start the Impeachment Proceedings. Google the term "Impeach" to see what’s already in the Ether. People all over the Web are contemplating the absolute necessity of Impeachment. This includes our allies and our enemies as well as those nations who are wisely unaligned.

The Congress can probably Impeach based on indigestion if it so chooses. They have the uncontrollable Constitutional authority. The Smokescreen involving 400 or so "historians and scholars" who claimed Clinton could Not be Impeached over the Monica Lewinski Affair were engaging in sophomoric sophistry and proving their own lack of professionalism and ethics. Perhaps those same historians and scholars would advocate a Constitutional Amendment protecting illicit sex in the Oval Office? How could the Framers have been so shortsighted — so unscholarly?

Could Monica have been a Red Herring? Is there a test for that?

Are there better reasons to Impeach and Remove?

Clinton got plenty of people killed under suspicious circumstances — and especially at times when he was under political pressure at home. Only days after several cruise missile barrages the Arab Street was calling them the "Monica Missiles." The Clinton Impeachment should have been based on answering for the unlawful deaths of our service personnel and innocent civilians — and it may have risen to the level of Felony Murder. He should have been in the witness stand saying, "That depends on what the definition of u2018Murder’ is." Then Bubba could have perjured himself real good!

The important thing is to Impeach early and often — and for all the best Constitutional reasons. Our Impeachment skills are rusty because we haven’t exercised them as we should. Getting service personnel killed and maimed under false pretenses is serious business. Could it be a High Crime? It is certainly No Misdemeanor.

It is curious to me that these reasons did not seem to disgust us more than the Commander in Chief having his way with Monica in the Oval Office. Someone apparently knew what would titillate the National Enquirer readership just long enough.

Let’s consider the Constitutional Clauses on Impeachment:

The House of Representatives shall … have the sole Power of Impeachment. — Article I, Section 2, Clause 5

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present. — Article I Section 3, Clause 6

The Chief Justice presides but does not decide. The Senate decides by not less than the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of Honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law. — Article I, Section 3, Clause 7.

The Presidential Pardoning power cannot trump the Impeachment powers of the Congress:

The President shall … have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment. — Article II, Section 2, Clause 1

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. — Article II, Section 4, Clause 1

Members of the House and Senate cannot be removed by Impeachment and Conviction — because the Legislature, being answerable to the People and the States, is lawfully Above the Executive and Judicial Branches in these matters — and We The People are Above them all.

There is No Jury for Impeachment — which also affirms the absolute nature of the Congressional prerogative:

The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury. — Article III, Section 2, Clause 3

So, the House and the Senate together hold an uncontrollable monopoly on Impeachment powers under the Constitution. This means, that, if they use these powers unjustly, our ultimate recourse would be to vote them out — but only after the fact. There are no provisions for punishing the Congress for bad Impeachments — just as there are no provisions for punishing Juries for their verdicts when they rule according to their consciences and in the teeth of the law.

The Jury has a Negative on bad laws — and the Congress has a Negative on defective Presidents, Judges, and other Civil Officers of the United States.

Now if Washington DC were not under a Dark Cloud of Collusion this would mean the House and Senate would quickly rein in a Warmonger President or a pack of Constitution-Hating Supreme Court Justices. It would be unthinkable for the Congress to abrogate its authority to Declare War. In fact, the Congress cannot lawfully delegate any of its authorities to another Branch.

If the House will not oil and tune its Impeachment Machine and the Senate will not stand at the ready to Convict and Remove, we are stuck with a clogged toilet that will not flush. Criminals in all three branches of government will continue to have their way with our liberties. This main check on power has not been in working order for most of our history as a nation, e.g. Abraham Lincoln was a bloody tyrant who should have been Impeached and Removed long before he was assassinated.

Neither can we afford to ignore the complementary problem of Congressional Recidivism. Once elected the main goal becomes getting reelected. We have wandered a long way from the original vision of citizen/statesmen who would serve for a brief period with only modest compensation and then return to the ruling class: We The People.

This is still an Enforcement problem — and it is Never a good idea to make more laws when you can’t enforce the primary law that would have solved or prevented the problem. Enforcement problems occur when the People have lost their knowledge of political affairs and their political will.

Jefferson was frustrated by this problem during the early days of the Republic:

Having found from experience that impeachment is an impracticable thing, a mere scarecrow, [the Judiciary] consider themselves secure for life. — Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Ritchie, 1820. ME 15:297

I do not charge the judges with wilful and ill-intentioned error; but honest error must be arrested where its toleration leads to public ruin. As for the safety of society, we commit honest maniacs to Bedlam; so judges should be withdrawn from their bench whose erroneous biases are leading us to dissolution. It may, indeed, injure them in fame or in fortune; but it saves the republic, which is the first and supreme law. — Thomas Jefferson: Autobiography, 1821. ME 1:122

In his 1828 Elementary Catechism on the Constitution of the United States, Arthur J. Stansbury discussed the Stimulus Package for Presidential Scofflaws:

Q69: May ever the President of the United States be thus impeached and punished?

A69: Yes. In this free and happy country no man is so great as to be above the law. The laws are supreme; to them all persons, from the President of the United States to the poorest and the meanest beggar, must alike submit. This is our glory. Let every youthful American exult that he has no master but the law; let him mark the man who would change this happy state of things as an enemy of his country; and above all let him remember that as soon as he himself breaks the law, he becomes himself that enemy. Whoever violates the law helps to weaken its force, and, as far as he disobeys, does what in him lies to destroy it; but he who honors and obeys the law strengthens the law, and thereby helps to preserve the freedom and happiness of his country. In some governments it is held that “the king can do no wrong;” here we know no king but the law, no monarch but the constitution; we hold that every man may do wrong; the higher he is in office, the more reason there is that he be obliged to answer for his conduct; and a great officer, if treacherous, is a great criminal, so that he ought to be made to suffer a great and exemplary punishment.

While we may disagree with Stansbury based on finer points of jurisdiction, which is to say, the Laws of the United States are ultimately Under We The People [we have no king whatsoever] and Over our Government Servants who take an Oath to submit to such provisions as apply to their limited, delegated authorities, we can agree with him that the President of the United States should be an Exemplar of Obedience to the Letter of the Law and the Constitution, and, that, if he violates either, he becomes an Exemplary Criminal who should suffer extreme consequences and ignominy. If ever there were a Man Without A Country, it should be any president who violates his Oath of office and commits premeditated Felonies in the name of the People of the United States by using our armed services personnel as pawns to be spent like a Fiat Stimulus Package.

Tragically, most Americans are so ignorant of law and politics, not to mention economics, that they may never know they are the object of such unadulterated condescension. It may not be so much that they despise their Birthright. They just need to know more about their inheritance so they may be able to reclaim and hold on to it. They can and will be educated.

Take heart! The majority has never ruled for long. Those of us who support Ron Paul because he supports Liberty and the Rule of Law will continue to learn and teach — increasing the potential that more and more Americans will be qualified to choose the appropriate Stimulus Package for those who would waste and destroy our lives, our property, and our liberty.

I have little doubt that most of you reading this column are awake and alert to the present dangers. But we all need to be encouraged and reenergized. So I will once again quote Sam Adams, Father of the American Revolution:

It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.

If you think Ron Paul cannot make a difference; if you think puny little you and me cannot make a difference, please take a little time and read about Sam Adams, the man for whom friends had to purchase a decent suit so he could attend the Continental Congress.

If Sam would not despair we certainly have no such right. He was the tenth child of his parents — and one of only two to live past the age of three. His parents were Pro-Life and Sam was Pro-Liberty. He was later to be called "The Grand Incendiary." Apparently those brushfires got out of hand.

You may think it a strange statement at first — but there is little to no doubt that the next war will pay for itself. It is just as true that the present unlawful, undeclared wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will pay for themselves. War pays! That’s one reason it’s so damned popular.

The question is not whether wars pay for themselves. The bills of war get paid — All of the bills plus Interest and Penalties. In fact, the initial cost is only part of the picture. You can bet those who make it their profession to make big money on big wars will continue to get paid very well. In fact, we have a surplus of "patriotic" contractors in our own country who would give their right arm [not literally of course] to get the next big juicy contract to build and rebuild and rebuild the same infrastructure in Iraq. They seem to salivate over such things. Business is slow at home in their native land.

I doubt very much that they can be disturbed by ethical nuances. And who can blame them? They didn’t start the war. Their clients, customers and cronies did. Hopefully they will make enough to keep up their commitments for political contributions.

The long-term profits of war are Not Unintended Consequences!

If you make gunpowder, what sort of human activity increases your bottom line more than any other? Certainly not target practice in a nation that is questioning the wisdom of the Second Amendment. What about Cruise Missiles? Bombers? Bombs? Bullets? Battleships? Tanks? Prosthetic Limbs? Body Bags? Coffins? Memorials? Graveyards? Medals? The list goes on. It is precious little consolation to consider economy of scale regarding the manufacture of prosthetic limbs. But they are getting better.

Americans have bought the Party line that says war is good for the economy or that WWII got us out of the Great Depression. If you want to understand what is going on you should read The Broken Window by Frédéric Bastiat until you grasp the truth that prosperity is not created or sustained by fomenting chaos and destruction. It doesn’t work on the macro level or the micro level. Just try destroying all your own stuff and see how quickly you get rich.

War is the government sending our young people to run around other peoples’ neighborhoods breaking all their windows. The Vandals and their cousins the Visigoths were more candid about their intentions. But they were Barbarians. Our Window Breakers are "making the world safe for democracy." If Democracy were so good one would think it would be cheaper to promote.

Maybe there are some really good top-secret reasons for this war?

Please don’t make me laugh by calling me a "conspiracy nut/theorist." Does it make any difference to you if you are murdered by a conspiracy or a consensus? Very bad people get together and make very bad plans to do very bad things. Many of these plans are unlawful. Some are public. Some are secret. Some of them are very profitable. Some may even involve good intensions. Some result in wars between nations. The cognomen "conspiracy nut" is totally ragged by now. It is as profound as saying "only good people make good plans." The etymology of the word "conspiracy" speaks of "breathing together." Criminals in and out of government make plans together all the time. Get over it! Politicians do lots of heavy breathing together. And the reality is a thousand times worse than the conjured image you just experienced.

In War Is A Racket, Major General Smedley D. Butler, USMC Retired, made some very serious and fully documented allegations. Even though he had received two [2] Congressional Medals of Honor, and diverse other decorations, he still didn’t completely lose his critical thinking skills — as often seems to be the case with retired generals. But "Old Gimlet Eye" got too close to his men and caught the disease of Empathy.

After WWI he began to investigate and carefully trace the money trail. His investigation eventually took him to veteran’s hospitals where he witnessed first hand the shattered bodies and minds of thousands of war veterans. General Butler shared their grief. He didn’t just give them some pretty medals. He also became keenly aware of the disgraceful way the government acted toward them once they had served their purpose. Many felt they had been used up and discarded as refuse. Later the true "compassion" of the government was displayed again in its reaction to the Bonus Army.

But we treat our veterans much better now right? Sure we do — what’s left of them.

I once asked a talk show host who was interviewing me: Do you know why we have Veteran’s Hospitals? She said, "Why is that?" I answered, "Because you can’t kill everybody in the war!" This is not to take anything away from those who are sincerely dedicated to easing the suffering of returning troops — only to point out that there are those among us who are willing to betray them more than once.

Recently a friend of mine with PTSD was qualified to receive disability payments after all his years of suffering since the Vietnam "police action." The high-ranking military doctors who interviewed him said they couldn’t believe he had made it until now without committing suicide or going on a killing spree [like so many others in their files]. He had been decorated for a Rambo-like episode where he escaped and returned to kill his captors while rescuing his comrades. In addition he had no idea of how many more Vietnamese he had dispatched during that tour of duty. There can be a heavy price to pay when you wake up from your delusions. His entire life has been ruined and wasted. How many more of these wretched souls will slip through the cracks to become ticking time bombs that our military hospitals will only be able to treat after something horrific and very preventable happens — and only if they are still alive?

In chapter three, Who Makes The Profits, you will see some familiar names among the companies who made money from the blood of WWI. Is that an unreasonable indictment to say they made money from blood? Read the chapter carefully and consider Butler’s careful documentation of the differential between pre-war and wartime profit margins for many of the major war profiteer companies. WWI certainly paid for itself in their minds. Some of those companies are still raking in dividends.

And let us not forget the bankers who financed the great war. If anyone had the cream of the profits it was the bankers. Being partnerships rather than incorporated organizations, they do not have to report to stockholders. And their profits were as secret as they were immense. How the bankers made their millions and their billions I do not know, because those little secrets never become public — even before a Senate investigatory body.

Banking is such an exquisite craft. You can make money by lending money that costs you little to nothing, collecting interest from both sides. Then after the war you can side with the victor to extract more usury from the loser. Later you can forgive a small part of the remaining debt so you can look like Mr. Nice Guy. Then you repeat the process for as many wars as you can help stir up. And let’s not forget all the "growth" you can stimulate by funding reconstruction during the brief and tenuous peace.

Please! Tell me once again that I am a conspiracy nut! I would love to wake up from this macabre dream. I’m sure General Butler must have felt that way too. And what of a grieving parent when they discover that wars are usually planned and carried out for profits and power with little to no consideration of principles or patriotism? If our hearts truly go out to them we should be redoubling our efforts to find ways to break the cycle.

The account above of a friend of mine has been challenged by a researcher of the period. Therefore I have checked two on-line lists he provided regarding Vietnam Veterans’ stories and claims. My friend’s name does not appear on either the list of known frauds or the list of documented heroes. His story was included to highlight the ineffective treatment of our veterans and the willingness of our government to use them as cannon fodder and then neglect or ignore them. Documentation of the noted events may not be possible because of privacy issues. I would not hesitate to withdraw the segment if it is proves to be inaccurate. General Butler’s Unquestioned Indictment of the Military Industrial Complex is probably adequate proof for anyone who wishes to substantiate the main focus of the article. The best we can do for our military personnel is Not to send them to unlawful, unconstitutional wars.

Some time ago
I visited the Social
Security Website just to see what was going on in their little
socialistic heads, and came across an "explanation" of
how Social Security was Not a "Ponzi Scheme,"
embellished with some of the most convoluted govspeak
one could ever imagine.

It seemed to
be written by a true believer. But as I read it again and again
I was impressed with how they were inadvertently making the case
for the opposition. The more I read it, the more I wanted
every American to read it — and think about it. I shared
it with a few friends and they all agreed. The Social Security Administration
was exposing itself as a Ponzi
Scheme — albeit a really Huge Ponzi Scheme. At
the bottom their "explanation" proved nothing more than
that their Ponzi Scheme was quite legit simply because it
had the sanction of government.

The government
robs Peter to pay Paul to sustain social security. This is not really
disputed. It is just euphemized
ad nauseum. Lawfully
speaking you give them written permission to rob you
to pay Paul. Of course you are not allowed to do anything
like robbing Peter on your own behalf, because that
would be a crime. But Socialism
is a criminal system of economics. The sanction of government
does not render a crime victimless or without culpability. It can
sometimes mask the crime and delay the results. But sooner or later
the day it's Judgment
Day!

Once again
we refer to Bastiat:

But how is
this legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the
law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it
to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits
one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen
himself cannot do without committing a crime.

Then abolish
this law without delay, for it is not only an evil itself, but
also it is a fertile source for further evils because it invites
reprisals. If such a law — which may be an isolated case — is
not abolished immediately, it will spread, multiply, and develop
into a system [Social Security is a government Institution but
that cannot make it Lawful].

The reason
this article is not a letter addressed to the Social Security Administration
is that I have learned it is fruitless to engage them in dialog
if you are hoping to come to a lawful, helpful, or logical solution.
They cannot "afford" to listen. Their job is to keep track
of eligibility, payments and benefits, and to make sure the
government's extra-constitutional socialism machine is
on track. They need to have more and more money to give away and
more and more beneficiaries to "help" — and their job
security and cushy retirements depend on it. They don't get on the
phone to the Congress and ask questions about government
ethics, the Constitution,
or fiat
money.

I would not
hesitate to challenge them to put that same "explanation"
verbatim back up on the Web for all to see.

Could it be
the entire project was covertly done by a disgruntled SSA employee
who wanted to expose the fraud? Do we have a man on the inside?
I am more inclined to believe some underling, a budding young socialist,
perhaps an intern, had labored long hours on his/her own time in
an effort to proudly glorify the Agency and its noble mission. Then
a senior management gatekeeper read the piece and immediately had
it deleted. Suddenly the piece vanished. We must not confuse
the customers. Note: If anyone has a copy of that piece I would
appreciate an email.

The above scenario
is pure speculation. But I am sure I would be equally entertained
by any new effort they might mount to explain how silly we are to
question their alchemy. Just how do they expect to keep it going?
Will it work when one worker carries twelve retirees on his back?
What happens when our life expectancy increases dramatically?

Ponzi was a
Piker.
He stole a lousy 15 million bucks. And he couldn't sustain his scam
because he didn't have access to an inflatable money supply or the
force of government arms coupled with taxing powers. The "Full
Faith and Credit of the United States" is no longer dependent
on anything tangible. It is only limited by the amount of time it
will take the government to bankrupt everyone — and they are proceeding
apace. As they print ever more paper money the effects of the silent
but deadly inflation
tax continue to devalue all goods, services and savings — except
for their arch enemies: Gold
and Silver — and those who have socked away enough of these
precious metals not to be codependent
with government. Inflation may already be decreasing Social Security
benefits by as much as 20% per year. When they pay you later it
will be with cheaper dollars — perhaps close to worthless dollars.

Ponzi Scheme

The eponymous
scheme was orchestrated by Charles
Ponzi, who went from anonymity to being a well-known Boston
millionaire in six months using such a scheme in 1920.
Profits were supposed to come from exchanging international postal
reply coupons. He promised 50% interest (return) on investments
in 45 days or "double your money" in 90 days. About
40,000 people invested about $15 million all together; in the
end, only a third of that money was returned to them.

Ponzi's empire
began to crumble when faith in his "system" was broken
by a few who began to question it. Upon closer investigation by
Clarence
Barron the house of cards collapsed and Ponzi went to jail.
His career was not over yet. After spending a little time in jail
he went on to perpetrate various frauds in other States and countries.

Both schemes
are confidence
games. But this time you are the Mark.

When Americans
understand the true impact of our shifting demographic combined
with the inherent fraud of social security and fiat money, this
ruse should be scheduled for decommissioning. In any case, gravity
will sooner or later take its course. We are witnessing a giant
game of musical chairs — and the chairs are being pulled away faster
and faster. Social Security may be the quintessential Third
Rail. Political animals may refrain from touching it. But
that will not keep the money from running out. Empire building abroad
and Socialism at home can really cut into your ability to set aside
funds for the future. When in Rome buy gold.

How could the
Founders and Framers of our Constitution have been so short-sighted
in not providing for all our retirement benefits? Why, there is
not a single word on it in the Constitution
or the
Federalist Papers. Maybe the Anti-Federalists
mentioned it? How could they have been so uniformly financially
inept that they didn't even realize how desperately we needed income
taxes, paper money
and standing armies?

The government
of the United States, does not, has never had, any authority
to take property from one citizen and give it to another who has
not lawfully earned it. And, believe it or not, FDR, in
his own words, affirmed that. Later, he tried to circumvent
the Constitution to birth the modern Welfare State.

In all fairness
perhaps the Ponzi family should have been given reparations or at
least royalties. But in the final analysis we should not be calling
any government program a Ponzi Scheme. Government dwarfs
all contenders when it comes to robbing Peter to pay Paul — after
taking out a small cut of course.

The Congress
has its
own retirement plan. What do they know that you don't know?

The biggest
crimes are and should be called Government
Crimes not Ponzi Schemes. We must not sully his memory by comparing
Ponzi's petty crimes with the Grand Thefts of our Elected Representatives.
Ponzi has stolen his millions and government its trillions. Compared
to the Congress Ponzi seems almost noble.

are asking, why do they hate us?  They hate what we
see right here in this chamber — a democratically elected government.  Their
leaders are self-appointed.  They hate our freedoms
— our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom
to vote and assemble and disagree with each other.

They want
to overthrow existing governments in many Muslim countries, such
as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. They want to drive Israel
out of the Middle East.  They want to drive Christians
and Jews out of vast regions of Asia and Africa.

These terrorists
kill not merely to end lives, but to disrupt and end a way of
life.  With every atrocity, they hope that America grows
fearful, retreating from the world and forsaking our friends. They
stand against us, because we stand in their way.

We are not
deceived by their pretenses to piety.  We have seen
their kind before. They are the heirs of all the murderous
ideologies of the 20th century. By sacrificing human life
to serve their radical visions — by abandoning every value except
the will to power — they follow in the path of fascism, and Nazism,
and totalitarianism. And they will follow that path all the
way, to where it ends:  in history’s unmarked grave
of discarded lies.

When the President
speaks of the "unmarked grave of discarded lies,"
is he alluding to something like the
Memory Hole? Could it be perhaps the forgetfulness of a neglectful,
distracted, preoccupied, or thoroughly brainwashed, American People?
How about a list of lies that even this administration couldn't
sell? Are "discarded lies" anything like deliberate cover-ups
by this White House in collusion with other government agencies?

I don't want
to shock anyone but some other Presidents have been liars.

Lincoln Memorial have solid scholarship to which we can resort.
But remember, there have been patriots desperately warning us about
Lincoln ever since the scoundrel appeared on the scene.

It makes as
little sense to hold on to false history as it does to eschew the
proper assessment of your future prospects:

Lincoln was
a vile man who made war on his own countrymen under false pretenses
and didn't
care one iota about liberating anyone. He did care about breaking
down States' rights in favor of an omnipotent central government.
Now we see his political heirs moving further in the direction of
his legacy at the expense of our civil liberties and to the detriment
of Liberty
across the globe.

Is there no
way for us to pick up on Presidential Lies Before they take
greater and greater tolls in lives and liberty? Is there no way
to make the Representatives of the People understand that they often
need to protect us all from our own President?

If the Congress
is not effective in curbing Executive or Judicial anarchy (and they
are Not), how can it be said that we still have Representative
Government?

The Iraqis
and the Afghanis must be somewhat confused by now about what it
means to "make
the world safe for democracy. Will Obama or Hillary be able
to explain the nuances to them? Bill Clinton used bombing, cruise
missiles, troop deployments, and invasions to spread democracy.
The House Democrats have been impotent or else have colluded with
the Bush war/democracy machine. And McCain is a "tough guy"
who shoots from the hip — when
he's not shooting his mouth off.

The world may
become a safe place for the "democracy" these people have
in mind — when they lock us all down in solitary confinement. The
most ignorant American does not equate "democracy" with
the loss of his own freedoms. But that is exactly what is in store
for him if he chooses to remain in his indolent
slumber as his tax dollars are used to build and rebuild the Empire.

If you were
fooled about Lincoln you may have been fooled by Bush. Lincoln's
war was a fraud — Clinton's wars were frauds. Bush's wars are also
frauds. Obama's wars will be frauds. Hillary's wars will be frauds.
McCain's Hundred
Years War will be a fraud.

Rule #1 — WAR
IS A RACKET!

Rule #2 — If
a prospective war has the appearance of legitimacy consult rule
#1.

W. Bush be able to keep fooling enough of us to keep himself out
of jail?

As you read
the President's words, always make simple mental associations with
the Golden Rule. What if you were an Iraqi or an Afghani? Would
you feel the same way about the doctrine of preemptive war?

A narcissist
is devoid of empathy. So why did Bush say, u201CAmericans are asking,
why do they hate us?u201D

I don't believe
for one moment that anyone ever emailed, snail mailed, or phoned
the White House to whine, u201CWHY DO THEY HATE US?u201D

Do you believe
it happened that way? How can we possibly believe this man is ever
concerned about any other country or people hating us? Who has done
more to make people hate us than George W. Bush? If getting people
to hate us was the goal the President can proclaim, "Mission
Accomplished!"

Do you believe
they hate us because of our freedoms — or could it have anything
at all to do with perhaps as many as 7 (that's seven) million deaths
or more between various US actions in Afghanistan and Iraq?

Do you want
to use some lowball numbers from the Feds? Go right ahead. But remember,
a Felony is a Felony. One single death caused by "collateral
damage" in a war waged under false pretenses is bad enough.
But when it is proven that civilians were murdered under Direct
Orders based on boldface lies there will be plenty of Felony charges
to go around. There could be a whole chain of command saturated
with what most of the world still calls War
Crimes.

Is
this why George W. Bush has already started laying plans to retroactively
pardon himself?

were servants of We The People Under the Constitution.

Sleepers Awake!
You are already part of the Ron Paul rEVOLution
or one of its many beneficiaries:

The words above
were published in a Catechism
on the Constitution in 1828, by Arthur J. Stansbury, a clergyman
and educator, also
a reporter, and the artist who sketched a picture of his friend
John Quincy Adams as
Adams lay on his deathbed. Arthur got around you might say.
He did some other artwork
as well.

Don't underestimate
this little
children's book. Virtually sophistry free, its perspective
on the Constitution is superior to that of our sitting Supreme
Court — and it has been used to wake up attorneys who already
had their Juris
Doctorates. The Constitution was not really part of the
agenda in their law schools. They
have been able to trust the judges to tell them what the law "means."

The
Principles of Liberty Are Timeless.

The words of
the first paragraph from Stansbury could be describing Ron Paul's
aspirations for the next generation or
his campaign platform and the second could be describing
the character of Ron Paul himself. Tragically, the entire field
of candidates for the Presidency does not contain one other person
who could hold a candle to Doctor Paul — not one who could begin
to articulate the
founding principles of our Republic with any degree of accuracy
or reverence.

There are many
of us who have been nurturing the seeds of this rEVOLution

theory presumes that mankind can achieve escape velocity when
education reaches a certain level of saturation in the populace:

The apparent
support for the other candidates comes from quarters of our society
who have been deceived into believing they can have everything
PDQ. This support
is fickle and ultimately ineffectual. Their ends are not justified
and they seem to care little about their means — or they are ignorant
of cause and effect relationships in politics, economics, and especially
War.

There is another
quarter that is not often directly heard from. Someone else usually
speaks or acts on their behalf. It is always easy for them to find
lackeys and sycophants among those who think they are politically
astute — among those who lust for power over others [most politicians
crave power even more than money or they would be bankers]. They
are also much more patient than most of us. When we cannot wait,
they are only too happy to take long
positions and harvest the fruits of our labor along with our
liberty. But they are not divinely chosen to rule over us. They
are merely the buzzards who patiently wait to pick the bones of
our neglected liberties. How quickly buzzards are scattered by almost
any commotion. They know they are buzzards.

We must become
more patient than our adversaries — and we must continue to teach
the Principles
of Americanism. And with the Internet we will continue to
fire "the

Almost everyone
is noticing that the bright young folks we see being interviewed
at Ron Paul gatherings are also cut from the same parchment. They
are articulate and well informed. The light has been turned on —
and it’s not going out. They are beginning to understand the meaning
and power of words like no other generation since 1776. This is
a new phenomenon. When challenged, they don't just refer to Ron
Paul like a Hillary,
McCain, or Obama, Zombie might do if asked about their champion.
Ron Paul's young Patriot friends draw in the interviewers and point
them to the principles of original American Greatness. This revolution
is not a cult of personality. They imitate Ron Paul as he imitates
the Founders. And they will have global counterparts.

We will continue
to honor this next generation by bequeathing the legacy of liberty
that alone recognizes "that
they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

We will not
diss them
by perpetuating the lie that government should be their Nanny Over
We The People taking care of their every contrived "need"
and expecting to have the discretion to control, abuse, or destroy
them at will.

Once these
kids are awakened they can easily compare the platforms of the other
candidates and the
Communist Manifesto and come up with some cogent conclusions.
After some informed analysis they may not prefer communism
at all — no matter how it is sugar-coated and marketed.

Would you underestimate
the potential of an acorn at first glance? How about a tiny trickle
of water that creeps into a small crevice before freezing and splitting
a huge granite bolder?

Never underestimate
Ron Paul any more than you would underestimate a Jefferson
in retrospect or a Thomas
Paine. He is the real deal — and he is Cloneable.

Keep learning
and educating everyone you can — realizing that any gains from a
victorious election will be short-lived if the society has not been
properly prepared. Without All
of its philosophical underpinnings our first rEVOLution would
have been a dismal failure. As it is, the world is still studying
it as the only precedent for returning the lawful powers
of government to the control of the People — subject only to their
informed consent — executed through their written constitutions

All sorts of
organized as well as random "meetup
groups" happen all over the world all the time. People
meet to discuss their needs, plans, goals, dreams, hobbies, politics,
religion, problems, friends, enemies, prospects, safety, security,
jobs, money, diets, health, war, peace, life, death, sex, drugs,
rock and roll, and so forth. They may even review American foreign
policy in their own humble way.

While it may
be difficult to imagine what goes on inside of al-Qaeda [especially
if it doesn't exist] it may not be as hard as you think, to
make a list of goals that any real meetup group in Afghanistan or
Iraq might have in common with a meetup group in the USA or anywhere
else. Those two nations have been invaded and occupied. Is it so
strange that pockets of resistance are encountered from time to
time?

Ron
Paul keeps bringing up the Golden
Rule with regard to foreign policy and unlawful warfare. But
who
is our Neighbor in such remote places with such alien cultures?
McCain's
idea of committing troops to Iraq for up to 100 years may not
be what ordinary Iraqis had in mind.

Given the present
levels of delusion and deception I would eat my Keffiyeh
if "al-Qaeda" turns out to be all our handlers pretend
it to be. I knew all along that Emmanuel
Goldstein was behind 9/11.

Some well-traveled
friends have told me that the interests of common people
[meetup groups] the world over are much the same. Boy meets girl.
They decide to marry and raise a family; put food on the table;
build lives together; pursue education and careers; rock their grandchildren
on their knees, and finally they go to meet their Maker — they All
go to meet their Maker — just as we do. Very few of them want to
lift their eyes to the hills from
whence cometh a thousand fighter jets interspersed with cruise missiles.

An
"al-Qaeda" does not just happen. It has to be planned
or made up by
someone somewhere.

Common people
do not spontaneously have fantasies about going across the oceans
to burn up the homes and mangle the children of imagined enemies.
Someone has to convince them that there is a real threat
from a real Enemy. Once this is accomplished, and especially if
it is promoted by government, "free" public education
[or madrasahs],
clergy, and Media,
it becomes a shameful act Not to go and kill,
kill, kill someone far away, whose culture is so remote from
your own that you may never know the grievousness of the acts you
were duped into. Once "those foreigners" are dehumanized
in your mind you can become the Exterminator and expect to be decorated
for it.

Euphemisms
rule the public consciousness: "Innocent Civilian Deaths"
becomes "Non-Combatant Deaths," which becomes "Collateral
Damage." If it were happening in our own backyard we might
call them "Precious Loved Ones" or "Defenseless Women,
Children and Elderly."

If you have
ever realized that beliefs or positions you held in the past were
based on contrived information you understand that you have been
brainwashed to some degree. But you cannot begin to discover the
depth of your delusions until you make your own effort to explore
the many ways in which you have been deceived and become aware of
the classical tools used to do the job.

Is it possible
that most of what you "know" — just Ain't so?

Self-deception
is probably the most effective. We all seem to do it quite well.
To be fair, most of us are "Messin"
with Mr. In Between," most of the time. Most of us are
not secure enough to form our own opinions based on documented facts.
We prefer lullabies to wake-up calls. We want to be part of the
group, the herd, the club, or the posse.

Once enculturated
our behavior is quite predictable unless and until conflicting information
makes such a dramatic impact that we are shaken into beginning
a soul-searching process that could result in a paradigm replacement
or modification. This is a very stressful process that most humans
would rather avoid. Not everyone has the mental or intestinal fortitude
to be a trail blazer. Not everyone has the integrity. Most of us
will find a comfortable place to jump off and avoid the cognitive
dissonance.

WARNING: Speaking
the truth to power can have its downside.

After the Roman
Orator Cicero was beheaded by the Roman Centurion Herennius,
Mark Anthony's precious wife Fulvia
ripped out his tongue and stabbed it repeatedly with her golden
hair pins. Algernon
Sidney was executed based on writings found among his possessions
which he had never published or spoken of to any living soul. Sidney's
last words: "We live in an age that makes truth pass for treason."
The list goes on an on… William
Wallace was hanged, drawn and quartered by Edward the Longshanks
and his body parts were put on public display. Wallace had testified:
"I could not be a traitor to Edward, for I was never his subject.”
This technicality didn't seem to trouble Edward.

How do we wake
up from bad paradigm? Is there a formula?

The process
can begin when you notice an anomaly
— a glitch in "The
Matrix" — something just doesn't add up.

For instance,
consider the following questions:

• How do people
  who never had a real job in their life become multi-multi-millionaires
  on Congressional salaries? Do the math.
• Why do medical
  doctors statistically die younger than the general population?
• How is mercury
  a deadly poison wherever it is found except while it is inside
  of your tooth?
• Why did
  I get a seatbelt ticket while 40 Million kids ride school buses
  daily with no seatbelts?
• What is
  the significance of the evolution of the Legal Tender Notice on
  Federal Reserve
  Notes?
• Why
  would the US drop cluster bombs and food packets of the same color
  in Afghanistan?

You can start

Those who have
gone through major paradigm shifts have sometimes documented their
journeys and occasionally they have done such a good job that their
accounts create patterns or roadmaps for the rest of us.

For Major
General Smedley D. Butler the lights began to come in when he
started analyzing the money trail of WWI as well as the disparities
and inequities involved in how the US treated its soldiers and its
veterans. If you haven't read his pamphlet: "War
Is A Racket" please read it at least once at this time
[Free
Online Version]. Read it again and again until you can see parallels
and draw inferences that help you see through the rhetoric, propaganda
and brainwashing being foisted on us 24/7/365 by Media, Academe
and the people in DC who have long ago forgotten the mandates of
Representative Government.

Consider this:
Smedley Butler
began a Quaker
[we don't get a lot of Quaker Marine Corps Generals]. He became
a warrior and leader in the Spanish American War and in WWI, being
awarded Two Congressional Medals of Honor and many more decorations.
Before WWII he was solicited to lead an army against the US Government
and take over the country on behalf of some powerful American business
interests who had observed the early activities of fascist governments
in Europe, e.g. Mussolini's Italy, and thought a fascist
government would be just the right thing for our country. Instead
of cooperating and agreeing to lead an army of 500,000 men against
Washington D.C., where it was hoped by the cabal that he would arrest
FDR
and install himself as a fascist military dictator, he
testified against the conspirators before the Congress. None
of them were ever brought to justice for their acts of Sedition.

Can you imagine
the gut wrenching General Butler must have endured as he gradually
became completely disillusioned and realized the truth about war
for profit? Any career military man can follow Butler's
example — provided he has the courage. He can start by reading
the book and comparing it with his own career, insights and experiences.

Our Marine
Corps vets are fond of saying Semper Fi [Latin for "Always
Faithful"]. But what is the object of their faithfulness? Is
it to the Constitution they swore to uphold and defend against All
enemies foreign AND domestic — or is it to a chain
of command, or some concept of "honor" or fraternity?
Can they discern between a Lawful and an Unlawful order? How many
have ever disobeyed an unlawful order based on their understanding
of the Constitution?

Perhaps Colin
Powell is starting to "get it" now that everyone knows
he was used as a shill
for the Bush II Administration when
he spoke before the UN to sell their cock and bull WMD story.
Are generals politicians,
soldiers or used car salesmen?

Mr. Powell
may continue his quest for truth or he may be arrested in the redemption
process. It is entirely up to him. We all know he was Had.
It is conceivable that he may have been racing Obama
for the White House right now had it not been for his gaffe in not
checking his UN script. It is one thing for the Administration to
get thousands of enlisted personnel killed and maimed for a Lie.
But occasionally scorned generals may suddenly turn away from the
Dark Side and become more of a liability than an asset.

time they just fade away gracefully:

What would
happen if Colin Powell had the perspective and mettle to say to
himself and the President, "What
Would Smedley Butler Do?" or how about "What
Would Michael New Do?" Perhaps we could have saved a Trillion
or two? Perhaps we would have fewer grieving mothers, spouses and
children? According
to Ron Paul we might even be rebuilding our own bridges.

What about
you? Are you a veteran? Did you serve as well as you knew at the
time? If so, Bravo! We have no issue, unless you leave it at that.
It may be time to reenlist your mind and your conscience on the
side of the rule of law and the Constitution — once you have acquainted
yourself with the real battle, and determined to confront
your country's domestic
enemies, who have always been a greater threat than her foreign
ones. You don't remember too much emphasis on Constitutional
Correctness during your military training do you? No! It was
all about following orders. That's how they trained Eichmann
isn't it?
